Claims to have a 2 year old son. And wants you to pay his furniture bill and buy groceries. Fake and will be going to a lawyer// bank about this scam.!

App doesn’t allow family account

I created an account 10 years ago when I was a sitter. Now as a parent, I can’t create or change my account to a family. So now the whole thing is useless to me. They should allow the option to change account types as people’s lives evolve. I will be using another product from now on.

I have gotten a couple different jobs from this website and it has been really helpful! I really like all the personalization you can do on your profile. I think the website is a bit nicer than the app (that's why I ranked 4 stars instead of 5) but the app is pretty good as well. I definitely think that the way to get more jobs is to apply to postings as soon as they come up, that way you're the first babysitter the parent sees.

Can’t contact anyone

Anytime you try to contact someone it states no connection. So makes it impossible to use. Please fix ASAP.

Love the site, hate the app

This app is pretty terrible. You can’t filter searches for families by anything other than location, and even for that it’s vague and impossible to be specific. On the site you can filter searches by rates and location and desired hours. Also messaging in the app is frustrating. On the site, it saves your most recent application so you don’t have to re-type it every time, just tweak it to each family. The app does not do this. The app also doesn’t let you edit certain elements of your profile. Why?! If the app was better I would use it so much more and tell all my nanny friends to use it. As it is, we mostly use our own networks outside of Sittercity.

The app could be more user friendly

When it comes to searching for Babysitting jobs, I wish it would be more user friendly. When i search jobs by location, it’d be nice if it did a search automatically from our home address and then we could decide how many miles we’d be willing to travel (5miles, 10miles, 15miles etc). If we don’t want to do a search from our home address, we could input a different one (maybe we’re visiting family out of town but still need a job to do), and do a search from there. At the same time if we could decide what kind of jobs we’re looking for in the search, such as babysitting, special needs, pet sitting, and so forth. I’ve got a friend who uses care.com for babysitting and their interface is so appealing and easy to look at compared to Sittercity. Im considering switching over to them due to how easy it was to navigate, but at the same time, I’m used to sittercity so it’s hard to decide.
