Digital coupons are a scam & NOT customer friendly !!!

I use to shop in ShopRite all the time. In fact my ShopRite card was so old, apparently it was no longer valid. Only after using it several times and then having to go back to return and repurchase the same items, did I realize this! Shopping during the cancan sale, the price difference is significant so I would go home and check my receipt to see what was wrong. All three times, I was incorrectly charged! 1) My bill was over $220.00. $73 was then returned to me after returning to tell them they charged me the wrong price for the soup (Progresso $1.00 with digital coupon -10 for $10.) They could have told me at the register that the card was not valid as the price did not scan! 2) When I returned to the courtesy desk to get the adjustment, I had to bring 4 cases of soup along with other items that were incorrectly charged. I had to return them all and then get back in a different line to repurchase them! 3) Two days later, I went back to purchase additional items that were part of the weekly sale. Coke products 2L ..$1.00 limit 4. Ginger ale 2L..$100 limit 4. Land of lakes large brown eggs 2 for $3.00. Pepperidge farm country white bread.? I was charged incorrectly for all of these items. I was only given $2.00 off on the Coke and $$2.00 off on the Ginger ale. So instead of 4 for $4.00, I paid 4 for $6.00. I paid $7.00 for the 2 dozen eggs. And $7.00 for the 2 bread. This time I could not bring myself to go back. ( I am a disabled senior citizen) Not that anyone cares apparently! 4) Now after another 2 days, my husband goes back to get 10 soups on sale. (Progresso). He comes home with his receipt showing he was charged 2.79/can. Now that is a big difference especially when we are on a fixed income and no longer work. I went back to return the items. When I asked why they charged him 2.79/can, they told me because he only had 9 cans!!! Why couldn’t they just ask him to get another can??!!! THESE ARE UNBELIEVABLE INSTANCES OF NOT CARING AT ALL ABOUT THE CUSTOMER!!! HOW can a store like this stay in business. It will be difficult for me to go back to shop here!!!

Know when to pick up the pace

This is now the third time I wait over 25 minutes for my deli order. I place the order at home and leave my house at the time it says ready for pick up. I get to the store and stare at the workers for 25 minutes while they drag their feet preparing orders (look at video footage to confirm). I’m not saying work like animals but come on step it up just a little and don’t move like sloths.

Billy and Marie are awesome! So very friendly and helpful. My Mom and I have been shopping at Shop Rite for years and Billy has always gone out of his way to make sure we were happy with our meat purchases. Every Christmas I know I can depend on him to provide my family with an amazing prime rib that he cuts and ties for our convenience without my asking him to. He takes the worry out of Christmas dinner which is huge for me! Thank you Billy for doing an amazing job!
