sorry for saying this but the app really not work with me when i try to connect it ask for my tv port number and when i enter it correctly it say unable to connect
Remote control app does not work

Numerous buttons on the remote control app do not work. Power off button when pressed does nothing. Volume up and down works, mute button works, view mode works, input button works. No other buttons work or do anything when pressed. Have latest application version, latest iOS version and Latest software version on the TV. Does sharp even bother to test their applications? I think not!!! Call into customer support at sharp and get response… Sorry the app is a work in progress. The TV I have is their 55 inch Aquous 4khd.

The app has potential to be great. But why does it have to disconnect from tv after every time phone sleeps, randomly shut down, and not have a smart central button on remote???? It's called smart central

Instead of this app, they made a new one that actually works. Should be the one with the rainbow flower icon.
Here is how you make this remote work...

On the Sharp remote that came with the TV click on the settings button which is the gear wheel. Then click the same button again – this brings up the detailed TV set up menu. Under the General column navigate to Aquos Remote Control and hit the center enter button on the remote. Enable Remote Control App. At this point your phone will immediately find your TV and the app will work after that point.
VERY IMPORTANT!!! Your device & TV must be on the same network.

This app works great from day 1 of downloading it. If you're having issues connecting make sure the TV and your device {iPad, iPhone, etc.} are all on the same Internet network.

This app dosent work. (I wanted to join my tablet to the tv to share pics.) But you can't complete setting it up. Asks for country & zip code, but you can't click the "next" button, to continue setup! The app is useless!
