Once upon a time, Server Admin Remote was a handy app for OS X sever admins to use for monitoring their servers. Then something happened in mid-2013. The developer abandoned it. So now if you happen to have a Mac server running 10.9 or later, this app is completely useless. It's a pity, too, because once it was pretty good.

Was great when it lasted ... Hasn't been updated to work with last two OS X versions.

The app need to be updated to support OSX 10.10, don't buy it if you are running 10.9 or higher

I wasted $10 on an app this developer is still selling, but not updating to still work

** ABANDONWARE ** DO NOT DOWNLOAD - THIS HAS BEEN ABANDONED BY THE DEVELOPER AINCE 2013 I suggest you do the same with the developer, and any other products he might work on. --------- Really, no one has reviewed this???? This is a great and convenient app for remote administration of XServe (or, since those are dead) any OS X server environment. Please update workgroup manager likewise.

Happy to say that I "believed" the screenshots of the Devs (running 10.11.x) and was pleasantly surprised that the previous "DO NOT BUY" reviews are obsolete. Yes, it DOES WORK with El Cap (5.2) server, and I hope that the Devs revise it so it works in the Fall with *COUGH*. EASILY found both of my El Cap servers on my LAN, plugged in credentials, and after a brief hiccup with self-signed certs both machines were good. If you need to start/stop services, view logs and see sparklines you'll be very happy. For anything more complex um.... you should use Server.app on your DT. Four thumbs up for handy onboarding & help ("Make sure your server is accessable [screenshot]"). Minus one for MAYBE a minor bug with self signed certs that I'll be emailing the Devs with WHEN I can regress. Bad Uncle Leo says this is well worth the $9.99. Buy these guys a beer or three.

...with the latest release which fixes the SSL issue, I have finally a solution better than SSH for routine system monitoring etc. One only asks oneself: why does a third party have to reverse engineer such a thing, instead of Apple providing such a solution from day one?
