Good concept, too ez

CoolestDudeA17

Okay, the game is great. The story is really good, it looks really nice (despite being simple), and the entire idea of the game is good. The developers are even smart to make you an AI who's colonists in its ship are just numbers, like they would be to a player. There's one problem, though: the game is SUPER EASY. You basically can settle onto any planet, no matter how bad it is, and win with at least 400-500 colonists left. There's no challenge in it. No getting tense because you're low on colonists and your last planet was dirt like the rest. It doesn't matter that those planets were dirt, you can still settle on them and win. I'm giving 3 stars because the idea of the game is great, but the difficulty is at a level where you could randomly press buttons without reading anything and still win.

Appreciate No Ads

BlackAndRedBlur

1) I think this game is worth a download and a few playthroughs. There are no ads and it is an interesting premise! However, 2) this game becomes redundant quickly. I have played through about 7 times, which took about 30 minutes total, and I don’t have much more incentive to play further. 3) the devs have a really fun idea here, but there needs to be more interaction in a given game. Perhaps once we found the colony, we can make choices that impact the final outcomes, or perhaps guide what our settlers do (ie, do the settlers build in caves or on the surface? Do they focus on agriculture or technology?) This could be really great. It’s worth a try even if you get bored quickly.

Amazing Sci-fi story game

Amazing game really. Challenges your thinking, makes you strategize every move, and the fact that it gives you a real detailed end result is fantastic. After playing a while, there are a couple predictable things, but not excessively redundant. I would love to see the developer update it and add some new options/planet types/circumstances, but really it is great as is

Fantastic, period.

It's such a simple concept, but complex in what you can do with it, and the stories you can make up to go along with it. I always play as a classic over-zealous AI, one whose primarily goal, to preserve the lives of its passengers at all costs, forces it to disregard the idea of landing at all costs, instead opting to keep searching indefinitely at the expense of every other system besides life support, because it thinks that's the only way to ensure their safety. (It's also just pretty fun to get all the systems as damaged as possible without failing. My record is all scanners gone except gravity at 7%, only 3% on the landing system, 353 passengers remaining, both databases completely depleted, and no remaining surface probes.) I'd really love some new random events, and I think the idea of some rare random event actually changing the AI's goal from finding a suitable host planet, to instead just letting the remaining humans live out their lives on board would be cool. I think it should be a diffucult ending to get however, with the need to somehow bring back some resources from planets you pass by, and then to completely deplete the landing system.

Decent

The concept is amazing, and those first few games are just as amazing. As you play more and more games however, it does get pretty boring. You can go a dozen games without running into something new, but because it occasionally spits out a very rare, low chance event, you still want to keep playing even though your heart isn’t in it and you’re just mindlessly playing. I think overall, it’s a very good game, but it could be improved with a percentage complete tracker or achievement list so we know when we’ve seen everything and perhaps a bit less random chance for the events you haven’t seen yet. I would rate this 3.5/5, but that doesn’t exist so I rounded it up. I would play again though when I’ve forgotten about the events though.

Simplistic- Great game

Seedship is such a good game, addicting but still simple and makes you think. Each time you venture out into the dark, you remember that it could cost you, and so you learn to keep what opportunities you find. Also the rare events are cool

awesome

great game, no ads, good replay value

Very simple yet enjoyable

I will only give 4 stars because the game is short, almost too short. Yet the gameplay is enjoyable and sophisticated in a way.

A Long, Long Journey Through the Void

Theappcriticcole

Ever since I picked this up, I knew it would be something special. Impeccable writing, good gameplay, and compounding consequences for your decisions makes this one of the best mobile text games— if not THE best mobile text game— I’ve played. My only critique is lack of variance, as a lot of the events get very old and predictable. But it’s a very mild critique given how good it already is. Simple, well-made, and infinitely replayable.

Super fun but wish there’s more content

I wish the developer update this game :(
