Keeps disconnecting from chromecast

The app worked great in the past, no issues whatsoever. I’m not sure which update changed things, but now the app won’t stay connected to my chromecast for longer than 30 minutes, regardless of which device I use. I know it’s not my internet, but I’ve tried it on my phone, iPad, and galaxy tablet and lol have the same issue at around the same time. It’s annoying to be watching a movie, have it cut out on you, and have to reconnect then find the spot in the movie again. Same for if I’m setting up a queue for a show, I lose the queue every time it disconnects. I’ve sent in bug reports about it, but it seems it still hasn’t been addressed.

The app is convoluted, not intuitive and nothing compared to the WD ser of apps to manage files. I have both drives and use both apps and the competition beats this app by far. You should make it simple. The app refreshes the list of files every time I look at a photo, it should go back and keep displaying what was there and where I left off. The app should be smart enough to find my drive when I am not home, it doesn’t connect someone’s. Too many folders, just tell me where is my data, the media libraries thing is confusing. The upload function is not clear as well, I don’t know if files are being uploaded and the progress. Take a good look at the competition and figure out a way to make it simpler and functional.

Can’t get the ‘cast’ icon to show up. Chrome cast works fine with YouTube... can’t upload phone content easily to folders, can’t get at private data. I don’t think I’ll use this app much in its current state. Overall, I’m disappointed with it so far.

Neither the app nor device. One of the worst purchases I’ve ever made. It is quite good, though, at deleting all your data and not allowing you to connect to it at all. So if you’re looking for an experience like that, go for it.

Seems okay. Was a little cumbersome to get up and running since most of life is done on iPhone and iPad now but wasn't terribly difficult. Did an initial upload of photos from my phone and for some reason 770 of the 777 photos my phone says I have are uploaded. Now I have no idea what photos haven't been uploaded to try and upload them individually.

Works beautifully on all mobile iOS devices, remotelly. Besides, Seagate telephone support is always very helpfull, and can even access your device, remotelly, to make sure your problem is solved. Good but...

It takes so long for a photo to fully load, even on wifi! Also if I turn my phone to view the picture in landscape half of the picture isn't viewable. The scaling is wrong! (Doesn't go into full screen)
