Grindr, Growlr, Jack’d Scruff, Squirt, have all been rites of passage for us since I was beginning college back in 1992. WIth HIV and the AIDS epidemic, a generation of us was literally taken from the world, the generation that was the whole reason we can be who we are today in fact, and with them the art of cruising, bathhouses and all the kinky mysterious outlets dwindled into almost nothing. This is not from lack of necessity, mind you, so fast forward to THe social dating application age. I definitely am one that has no issue with them, and I see them for what they are… social apps. This may generalize them for some, but yo make of them what you want, and SCRUFF is definitely my favorite. In all the time I have had SCRUFF, I can say that it has rarely been something for me to hook up as much as the rest, but that is not a dig at all. I have made and still have several good friends that I met on SCRUFF, and that meansmore to me than anything else. It’s user friendly, not too set in its namesake niche, and always keeps it interesting consistently. with out being bigger than its competitors like to fancy themselves to be. THats about all .

Trashy, glitchy and has too much unsolicited adult content. Yet randomly flags my tame pics as too explicit. Seriously, where are App Store guidelines?

Won’t approve my half-naked photo, but I see many people on the timeline with the same half-naked photo. Most of them are white so that must be why they’re allowed to do it. Pretty crappy. 1 star.
Bad version. Thirst traps is slow and crashes the app

Man, you guys really screwed up the app with this thirst traps feature. It takes too long to load the app now. You take up so much Home Screen space for a feature I don’t care about. And now the app is totally unusable because it crashes as soon as I select any menu item.
Forced to be beta tester as a subscriber

Absolutely the best way to convince an over priced subscriber to change their minds on subscribing by forcing him to be a beta tester and then telling him there’s no way to turn off that feature. Scruff added a new Thirst section where you could add temporary content (still or video), in a TikTok-like fashion, to help users really get themselves out there. This new feature cannot be turned off and consumes half of the screen. Support told me, in so many words, to bad. For that I won’t renew.

I updated my profile for pro. I am not too much time on the app, but I sometimes enjoyed. Well, today I got pro again, and was texting with few guys, and what happened they suspended my account for violation “spam”. What’s the violation is to text with people? I have my profile for a few years and they just block me? Unbelievable! Plus their support not answering to submitted ticket, nothing! They took my money and blocked my account. And I just was in touch with few people. This is nonsense. Service 0 ! Do not go for pro ! That’s blush it as well.
