I tell every parent I know about this app. I think I’m gonna start a “Parents rule your kids world club”. Love all its features; bedtime, tasks review, email recap but most entertaining is able to view what app my kid downloads. He’s downloading all these apps that tries to hide his device. **only down was I had to trick him Into giving me his Device twice because after the download I had to go back in and set it as a device administrator. Otherwise he can uninstall it. Should be part of the installation instruction*** ***He found the incognito ability to surf the web in google which hides his data browsing history and searches. Can You guys at Screen time do something about that?***

This app is a great effective parental tool. It is effective for managing teens and kids phones. If you see a bunch of one star reviews from kids, it's tells you it's effective, and probably that the kid in question is trying to get away with something so the parents don't know as well.

I don’t typically write reviews but I love this app! I went searching for something that could turn my teenagers’ phones into an alarm clock radio that they could keep in their rooms overnight. Meaning everything but their clock and Spotify would be blocked/disabled after a certain time. This app does exactly that! My boys use android devices and I use an iPhone, I have used it for two weeks on free premium trial and it does exactly what I expected. The only flaw is the inability to set separate weekday and weekend bedtimes. The bedtime blocker features a switch that will automatically block newly downloaded apps without me having to check everything but Spotify and clock every night. But I have to uncheck Friday and Saturday night on that blocker because I let them stay up later. There is a custom schedule feature that allows me to block specific apps (my choice) on any day during any time I want... but unfortunately the auto block new apps doesn’t exist in that feature so every weekend I have to check it to block all the apps they downloaded that week. Also, I have four teenagers and I haven’t found a way to set one timer and apply to all. That was a bit frustrating during initial set up. Lastly, my sister tried this app to monitor her daughter’s iPhone and she complained that the apps unorganized (popped out of folders) after a blocked timer ended). But seriously y’all, if you’re still reading, believe me, in the two weeks we’ve used this, I’ve been able to pause my kids and get their attention when needed, talk to one kiddo about lying about what he was doing on his phone, and block inappropriate apps that they download immediately after they install them. It’s pretty amazing and I’m confident they’ll take our feedback and work on some of the features needed. I subscribed for a year because I love it so much!

It’s good for control

So I gave my niece a phone for her safety and communication wit me . And so she can have fun also ... but it wasn’t working out wit my sister / her mom .. she’d take my nieces phone away for many reasons ... so I took the phone back cause there was no point in paying for a phone and my niece was using it .. so I got this app and it lets me control when my niece can use her phone ... what apps she uses ... and I can check when she has used them and for how long ... she is not allowed to use certain apps during school ... so I can lock them ... bedtime, no problem .. I control the phone so she can sleep and not have the itch to use her phone ... Complete control of what she does and her mom was fine wit that .. and if her mom texts me that she is misbehaving.. I can lock everything except for the apps I want her to use ... and I’m doing this from across the country ... im in LA / California and she’s in NY ... now she can have her phone and I can FaceTime wit her and I can feel happy knowing she has a phone for any emergency too ... great app ??

The permissions that screentime brings are offputting. With this, it is too buggy so my child's phone will stay unable to use for hours at a time, and the app won't delete. Do not download this app.

I used this app on an android phone and it was amazing!! Bought my daughter an iPhone and the app is useless. It can’t distinguish between apps so when her location tracking app is on it counts against her screen time. This was absolutely great for the Android, worth every penny, but on iPhone I’ll delete the app and look elsewhere. I hope it changes.

Great concept but buggy

This app offers some great functionality when it works. Consistently crashes on iPad, apps are rearranged when they are restored and all favorites dock apps are gone. Needs work

...use this app. If you’re constantly telling your kids to put their electronics down, this app is for you. The first time my 10 year old son realized I installed on his iPhone and iPad, he lost it... “I can’t live like this...this is totally unfair and you must not love me anymore”. I simply said “I didn’t do it...Screen Time did!”. You can either set a usage limit or set the devices to sleep and start at certain times of the day. You can also add timed “free play” time as well. If they turn notifications from Screen Time off it shuts them down. They are completely at your mercy and it is so wonderful. Definitely worth $4.99 a month even if just to train your kids and set normal expectations for time on the electronics. At least try the premium services free for 2 weeks and see for yourself!
