Needs some update

App is good would be awesome if we could live stream the games on you tube or Facebook and would be great with more scoreboard options. Like a game clock on the screen

Could be so very good

Dejvid@LA

Used this app for several of my daughters volleyball tournaments and seemed to work fine. However, the about 3 weeks ago, i recorded a single game and the video in photos was just white. It you tap play, nothing happens. Quite irritated, i wanted to try and recover the video. I emailed their tech support twice asking for help for both trying to recover the video and also to learn if i did something wrong. No reply to both emails. Today, my daughter had a major tournament in which they finished 3rd. Other parents kept asking for me to share the video and after i returned home, i learned that only 2 of the 6 videos are good. 4 of the 6 are again damaged. This app has so many brilliant ideas, and functionality features, but if you cannot trust that the recordings will not be damaged, and no customer support, I HIGHLY recommend using a different app.

Perfect For Vollyball

It's not supposed to be Great

As I travel around and watch my daughter play AAU volleyball I was in search of an app that I could pause the video between points (reducing memory usage) and somehow see the score on the screen while the game is going on and this app does it all. Very easy to use. Pay for the Pro upgrade it's worth it for the customizable features. I have had no problems with the functionality and I'm very happy with it. If you don't have it and you have iOS products get it and you can remotely control the camera in the palm of your hand (on an iPhone) as you sit and enjoy watching the game (while your iPad is the video source) As an added bonus you'll be keeping score so it helpful that way as well. On average I show probably 10 to 15 people a weekend the app as they walk by my set up and see what I have going on. Say goodbye to the days of keeping score on a separate device and flashing it in front of the camera to show the score and get back to watching and enjoying the game. I promise you'll be happy you made the choice. Enjoy.

Sharpest tool in da shed

I’m excited for the future of scorecam ... having embedded scoreboard on Facebook live or YouTube live will keep family members that can’t be there in person there and up to date...

Needs a clock

basketball film guru

I like the app but it really needs a clock as it only does half of what a scoreboard should do for sports like basketball. Does the future development plan include incorporating a game clock? If so, when will this be available?

Live stream

otterbotter

Love the concept but their is no detailed info on how to stream live from Facebook and no way to contact support to help with this problem

Perfect for Volleyball

I have two girls that play travel volleyball so I spend plenty of time standing on the edge of the court. GoPro files were huge and there were long periods of dead time between plays. With ScoreCam I have it set to pause after score update. I use the longboard version of the score board placed on the bottom with a “0” margin. I resume recording when they are about to serve. A quick two-set match is now 15 minutes of all action and around 650 MB vice 4 GB for each 17:42 of GoPro video. Finding footage for highlight videos is much faster now. My daughter reviews it and jots down the score just before the clip she wants with a brief description. I can now compile a highlight video in about 45 minutes. I’ve used a couple iOS devices in the past with ScoreCam and I’m now using an 8 Plus mounted on a light stand that can reach 10’, with an iPhone 6 as the remote. The remote view ensures you are capturing the entire court. I also have a Rodeo mic plugged in and mounted in a cold shoe mount. It doesn’t matter how tight of space there is at the edge of the court, I can get the entire baseline in view and never have anyone walking in front of the camera. Live Stream is a great add on. I record in 1080 but was able to simultaneously stream in 720 over cellular data to YouTube live during high school playoffs. There were some parents/grandparents who couldn’t make the game trip and loved seeing the action. The video is stored in a separate album in your Photos app. I can use Dropbox to wirelessly upload the video to my account and then share the Dropbox folder with all the other parents. I’m a hit with all the other parents. No more lines of various recording equipment on our end of the court.

Why should I pay twice

Coach GM

I like the app a lot and use it regularly. I paid for the pro version using my iPad to record and my iPhone to control it. However, if I want to use my iPhone to record and my iPad to control it they want me to pay again for the pro version. Why is this?

They always listen

I originally tried the app and had some issues that led me to briefly wait to make this my main video recording app for recording my kids sports. I gave some feedback to Pachyderm and they resolved my issues. I now use it all the time. I have requested new features I would like added and each time they get back to me very quickly (usually the same day) and have made the changes I requested. They have been great to work with.

It’s awesome but

I love this app for recording basketball with my friends. I have almost no problems with it. I try to switch over from the flip board to digiboard. I hit done and nothing happened. It doesn’t say anything about digiboard being pro. Is their something I am doing wrong?
