Music functionality for app poor

I have had the SanDisk Connect (64 Gig) for about a year now. Listed below are issues with the app which do not give a good user experience. • Genre list doesn't show all songs. The songs are listed in alphabetical order. If there is a large number of songs in a genre only titles A - F (could be different but this is what I have experienced), number, and special characters are listed. [Note: I reported this issue and was told to keep an eye out for a firmware update. One has passed and still not fixed. Still waiting…] • When going into a Genre it would be nice to view by artist. With the song list issue mentioned above there isn't a way to effectively view all artists/ albums. You can use the Files option, but can't do much more than view/play. Basically it's just a folder/ file viewer. • Shuffle plays same order - If you don’t select a song to start, the shuffle function will play the same song order each time. If you do select a song to start, the same songs seem to play all the time. This happens with all playback features (genre, album, playlist, etc.) Random algorithm definitely needs work. • Creating a playlist is painful - when adding songs to playlist entire song title list is displayed (i.e. all songs stored on device). When you have over 5000 songs, this takes a long time to display and very tedious to add songs you want. My suggestion - when creating or adding to a playlist, have the ability to browse through genres, albums, artists, etc. to find the songs to add into the playlist. Also have the ability to add a whole album and/or artist to the playlist. • To add to an existing playlist you have to scroll all the way down to the end of the playlist before you see the button to add songs. When you have a lot of songs in a playlist it takes a while to scroll to the end. I think if the add songs button is at the top it would be more user friendly. • Cannot play or shuffle songs from multiple albums by same artist. You can play or shuffle songs from one album, one artist. I guess the only way to accomplish this is to create a playlist for that artist, but see comment above about creating a playlist.

I have to agree with the other reviews on this app. I was hoping for an app that had better ease of use, particularly with creating playlists. It would also be great if the app could save music to the Music app on the iPhone, but that may be asking a bit much. All that said, the app needs work...

Freezes Constantly

This app freezes constantly, gives false errors, and is just slow. Could be cool in several versions of the developers try to fix the problems and improve the overall app.

App runs, but Apple doesn’t let me use it.

Bought the media drive, charged it and loaded some movies from iTunes to test. Evidently Apple will not allow you to play your own movie from the device. Essentially, they turned it into a $100 paper weight, that only work with my son’s Surface. I’m not sure why.

I have a 5s on iOS 9.0.2 and it connects to the device on wifi just fine. But the app doesn't recognize that there is a device connected.

Good design of the product, not keeping up with IOS updates so app looks dated. Would be great if I took pictures on my camera's SD and could then download them wirelessly to iPhone,....that would make this 5 star. Right now can only save existing content to card which is quite a waste of potential. Good physical products but not 100% pushing the envelope.
