First, this game has great graphics and sound. I read mixed reviews about controls--but once you figure them out, this game is quite fun. With practice you can time your moves and kill bad guys with some skill. The only thing I'd like to see in future versions is better feedback of when you actually do a move. A little notice in the corner is all it would take. I'll beat this game for sure. And I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Controls are crap. Sound effects become tiresome. Stopped after the first level. Artwork is pretty good though.

I've bought tons of games that did not deliver much of anything yet either looked and/or sounded great. Consequently, I did not have high expectations for this game. So, I picked it up and played it almost instantly, and the storyline was compelling and the artwork is fabulous. I remember reading reviews about simple swipes on the screen was all there was but for some reason, I was determined to keep going and learn the combos--not something that I have done over the years for virtually any fighting game. This game is a great value and looks and plays great! Just don't think that you're buying an RPG or adventure game. Remember it takes practice to get better and part of it is drawing the enemies away from each other so that you don't have to take on too many opponents at once. There's just enough depth and you can practice in Dojo mode to improve your skills. As far as the length of the game goes, I've still got a ways to go.

This was already a great game on the iPhone; the iPad version takes it to another level. The gameplay is simple at first, but once you're dealing with the more powerful enemies there's quite a bit of tactical thinking involved. As to the controls, they are about as brilliant and satisfying as any on the platform --I feel sad for people who find them unplayable. As someone who has Ninja Gaiden on the DS, I really appreciate the pace of this game in comparison.

The artistic style and the overall look of the game is great but the lack of variation in the environments and the slow or unresponsive (either way: irritating) speed of the protagonist was enough to drop my interest level to bored... glad I got it for a dollar cause, to me, that's all it's worth right now...
