Worst app

Why add this Authenticator now? It doesn’t run correctly, and now I’m going to have issues logging in to Salesforce.

Crashes immediately / totally unusable

SF is pushing this MFA requirement yet this key piece doesn’t even work.

Horrible

Salesforce has forced every user to download this stupid app where you have to give yourself permission to use the app. You can delete because it will not retain any information and you will have to start over, it’s faulty does not work and puts you in a loop of asking for a code but gives you a phrase to put in so you’re stuck and have ask their technical support for help. It tracks your location also. Cannot stand being forced to have an app. I know a lot of companies are leaving SF because of this

Been locked out of SF for 3 days now

Extremely annoying process I implemented on self before rolling out to staff. We use a custom domain so that may be why it’s not so “easy”. Have 5 different screens to go thru to get into SF. Advised on MFA community page to uninstall and reinstall app. Now app recognizes phone but back up to access SF is FKd. SF knows it needs a 6 digit code to access not a two word on set up app again. Have not been able to log into SF for 3 days now. ?

Would like to have more automation

When I open it, it quickly authenticates my login to SF. But each time I login to SF first and then the Authenticator, I notice that the toggle making my home address an approved location is untoggled. If I open the Authenticator first and then SF, I can login to SF more quickly. What I’d like to see is a one-time approval of my location, so I can continue to login directly, and only, to SF without having to open the Authenticator. Currently, that’s not possible.

Sales force doesn’t pay taxes

Forced tracking of customers

Salesforce is slowly making this app required to use their services. MFA is required to be enabled, with this app being the default. They state that other Authenticator apps or methods can be used, but they force biometric logins (Lightning Login) behind this app, which requires allows on location data. OATH doesn’t require location data, so why? So you can disable MFA for a location. The backup seems nice, but that seems to invalidate the secret key that the one time password is generated from since you can transfer it with a text message. SMS is insecure for MFA, but fine for transferring the data for this app.

Peace Of Mind

Very thankful for the safety and peace of mind this app has provided my company and I!

Despite selecting to remember my location, I am constantly prompted to authenticate. When I open the app, the authentication box pops up 5+ times. I have to select yes each time before I can gain access. All while other boxes keep popping up to authenticate. I don’t want this on my phone. I shouldn’t be forced to use this app with your product.
