Having issues

Having an issue that is keeping me from playing as it will not let the keyboard come up so I can put in my name and start the story campaign. Any help would really appreciated.
I love it but...

I bought the app when it originally came out in 2011 for my iPod. It was super fun and addictive, so I was really excited to try it out on the iPad. The story and characters are still as fun as I remember, but these are the things that are holding me back from giving it 5 stars: -Sticky side-scrolling: You can't progress until all the enemies are gone, but you can't follow the enemies. You're stuck hitting offscreen and hoping you kill the enemy so you can move further through the level. (This happened in the original format too.) -You can't break boxes unless there's an enemy right in front of it. This is a new problem because my old version let me hit boxes and flags no problem. Hopefully this gets resolved soon. I love this app to bits, but I'd like to see it hit its full potential.
