--- Description ---
Sad Princess is a fast pace action game with stylish graphics, smooth animation and cinematic scene.

This is a tale of girl meets boy. Actually, it’s a tale of princess meets prince, prince gets
kidnapped, and princess goes out on an action-packed quest for revenge, peace, and love.
This ain’t your grandma’s fairytale…

- A TOPSY-TURVY STORYLINE
Princess Clover believed that the road to true love is full of hardship. Use her ‘Sad
Power’ to become stronger and use powerful attacks in the hopes of a romantic ending.

- GORGEOUS GRAPHICS
Visit five unique worlds, including a snowy mountain, a starry desert, and a mysterious
castle. Stunning 3D particle effects are used for fluid battle animations within a setting of
beautiful, original graphics.

- ADDICTIVE BATTLES
Controls are easy to learn, but hard to master! With combos and special attacks, you can
create your own battle style – which you’ll have to for the powerful bosses. Enemies have
their own style of attacks, too!

- GROW PETS
Grow pets (including bees, wolves, and dragons!) and bring them along on the journey
for both help and companionship, and develop their abilities.

- WEAPON UPGRADES

Wow fun"
Gordio

This game reminds me of murasama (sp?) on the wii but less complex and frustrating. It has room for improvement. The 2d graphics and animation is amazing. This game does lack a tutrial but the gameplay is intuitive to figure out without one. I just wish the game fighting mechanics is a little more complex. Right now itsmostl a button smasher mixed with maneuvering with the d pad

Good but needs fine tuning
CCRusch

Like the previous person mentioned it's a good game, graphics are good could be tweaked a little bit to be better, & you will have fun overall. I normally don't go for games like this but the title caught my eye and the storyline was cute. However the D-pad is a little difficult for me to master and idk I feel like the functions could get some fine tuning. The tutorial could also include what or maybe how you can achieve each rank. Like the other person I, too, have also been getting D ranks .. idk how or what I can do to change it?

Good game, Confusing at first. Here are some tips.....
SmiteMatter

Sad Princess is missing a decent tutorial to help new players get the swing of things. I hope this helps a little. Check your inventory! It's limited and when it full you cannot pick up anything you see dropped by enemies except for health potions. You can use, or drop unwanted items if you are not around a cave to sell them. Racking up hits fills your "sad" meter. This is easy to do since if you're quick enough you can continue to gather meter filling hits on dead guys as well. This will allow more use of the "sad" power. Once the meter (the second one in the middle of the 3 colored lines) is full, tap the top left icon with her face in it and you get a temporary boost to your attack, and a one shot special attack can be tapped (little icon shows near the action buttons cluster bottom right) for massive damage in the direction you're facing. You need gems to upgrade your weapon at the smith in the cave. Each different colored gem stone has a different upgrade affect, and you can stack upgrades. Or you can buy some from the first on the 3 vendors in that cave. The first vendor sells items, like gems, potions. The second is the smith, he sells and upgrades weapons. The third is the pet vendor. Each buys unwanted items but only the same type they sell. You can't sell potions to the smith for example. Progressing to the next level always goes through the cave head to the right passed the three vendors. Going to the right offers you the option to play the previous level again, keeping your coins and inventory intact. You win medals after completed levels depending on your rating, which can then be traded in the cave to play a little card game by tapping cards to reveal a goodie under it. Could be money, stones, potions etc. You can play up to 3 medals ( as far as I can tell so far) I'm not sure how, but I've managed to get d,c,a and an s rating after the levels I completed. I'm guessing your rating has something to do with how fast you are, how many hits you collect, how few hits you took, etc. But I can really put my finger on the actual criteria. You get 2 points to spend on your skills at each level up. Tap the bag top right when you see and hear the level up indicator, then from your menu select the icon at the far left to access your skills to upgrade. Tapping the top right bag when in the game takes you to character info, inventory, information, options etc. This is what I've learned in the first hour, it's not exact, but it might help players get the hang of this really good side scrolling action game. It shouldn't be ignored because of the lack of tutorial or initial confusion. The art style, pets, slight RPG elements are all very well done, and it's really good despite the confusion at first. Sorry this is so long. I wanted to try and give detailed assistance best I can. Totally worth the 2 bucks. Find me in Game Center, I'm Fallen Weeble.

Nice one, but need more variety of enemies
Jobssss

I just bought this game....and its not working....I tap on it to play, it just kick me out....wth...please fix....I can't rate it a 5 star if I can't play a bit on my iPad.....what a rip off...

Not sure about this onr
adamclark

Seems like a flimsy app geared at getting you to buy currency via in app purchases.

A cute and fun little time waster ^^
Hi-chan

This game is so cute. Princess Clover is absolutely adorable! Also, people complaining about the controls being too hard are full of it. It takes two minutes tops to get the hang of how the controls work, especially if you have the jump button turned on. My only gripe is that the game will not let you flip the screen over so the home button is on the left and the headphone jack is on the right. Every other game has the "flip-screen" feature available, and as it is now, the headphone jack is digging into the palm of my hand, and that is not comfortable. Perhaps this feature should be implemented in the next update? Because I don't want to have to unplug my headphones just to play this game. I rather like the goofy sound effects. ^^ Other than that little setback, this is a five-star game as far as I'm concerned and well worth the $2 bucks.

Not so good...
Ginger43

First off, the game itself isn't too bad, as far as App games go it isn't unbearably repetitive. There is generally a five swing attack combo, uppercut attack to juggle enemies, and your standard aerial ground-pound. The pet system, however seems a bit bogus. You have to farm items and gold for possibly hours in order to get your pet to any form of a usable level. The game claims to allow you to succeed without any in app purchases, but the feasibility of obtaining the dragon pet or any of the better things seem out of reach. I am, however, only halfway though the game, so take this review with a grain of salt. A nice little bug I've noticed so far is that when you click the "Purchase Coins" button, even to check how many coins you can buy and for what price, you cannot exit that part of the menu. Every time I have attempted to exit the screen, I have been stuck there and have either been forced to purchase coins or power off my iPad and turn it back on. I also know this may sound a little silly, especially coming from me because my review may seem flawed itself, but the English in the game is also a little tacky, I've noticed some grammar and spelling errors. I understand how difficult it may be to create a video game, but it feels unpolished. Guess you can't argue with the price though.

Hmmm
TheRickyBarrera

Game is pretty good. But I think it's funny when your trying to check how much gold is to buy with real money, and the thing won't let you out until you make a selection as the purchase screen is up lol. Otherwise...good game :) worth the 2$

Yes and No
Flips4Fun

Yes, because this is a pretty well done game, good game play, pretty good action, so on. No, because it is missing a stable structure to state why this game is the way it is, very confusing intro, and no tutorial. Fun game overall.
