5 stars for bringing back the watch + phone mode

Hotcarrier

I rated this app 1 star when the developer disconnected watch and phone completely a couple of months ago. I’m glad that they listened to the users and brought back this beloved feature.

Login now required - run data lost, app deleted

mostly real

Last update makes login now required. With no warning, previous run data is now behind authentication/signup and very frustrating. I just wish this was communicated before hand as it fundamentally changes the application and how it is used. Based on the support site (not helpful and "relevant" support pages were useless) and the responses to reviews, it's clear the drive here is to monetize and collect data. Deleting the app was a bummer, but still annoyed at not being able to get to my run history. That's not a "data integrity/security" issue - that's just bad product and community management.

Love it

Especially for waking , great app

Mandatory subscription is BAD!!!

Runner4013

I have been using and rating Runtastic app since it was created. This is the first time I do not rate it 5 stars. I don’t like having to suscribe against my will !!!!!!!! I won’t use it anymore.

Not for Apple Watch

Blayma

I hate the fact that I can’t use the train big plans with my Apple Watch. I’m paying a premium account and still the Runtastic App doesn’t display in my watch when I’m using it

Trust issue

Sardrine

I was charges for the paying version without my consent. I was eventually reimbursed. It is a shame though to have to experience this kind of unpleasant surprise of being charged without asking anything, I don't appreciate these methods.

Where is the GPS tracking for Apple Watch?

12/28/17 Update: After receiving a new response from the developer to try v8.1.1, I decided to try again. First run with the watch only and the app crashed at the end of my run. I lost all the data. It said something about an Apple Health error. None of my other apps have this issue. As much as I want to love this app, I still can't give this more than two stars. 11/27/17 Update: Thanks for finally adding in standalone Watch tracking. The only problem is it does not work reliably. It keeps crashing in the middle of a ride or run and it looses all the data for that event. Please fix this in the next update. I'd love to rate this five stars, but it's still not there. 9/13/17 Update: I guess I'll have to just stop hoping GPS tracking will happen. Series 3 is here and still nothing. You guys are lame. Hire a better team who can do GPS tracking. Seriously? I get a canned response for my request. You'll add standalone GPS tracking for the Apple Watch sometime in 2017? That could be over a year after Series 2 was released. What is the deal? Runkeeper has had it for months and Strava has it too. Come on, give us tracking.

Why you did that ?!!!

Red Assasin

Why you force us to sign up ?!!!!!!! Keep it an option ! I hate apps which force to sign up ?? MAKE IT AN OPTION ?

Great Running App!

From Helsinki to Tegucigalpa to Ohio - fantastic app that is easy to use! Runtastic constantly listens to feedback from users and updates as they see fit - always better than before!

Don’t buy this if you have Apple Watch.

TheOriginalSnoobs

What the actual hell? Everything was fine then they broke the Apple Watch portion of the app. The app on the phone no longer talks to the Apple Watch? I’ve had this app since 2014, all the ups and downs, THOUSANDS OF MILES and this is it, I am done. The watch no longer shows splits listed out as you go, only for a second as you pass each mile. If you use your phone, there is nothing on the watch and if you try to use both, you have double info on everything. This app is supposed to be for runners but they want to exclude one of the largest tracking watches on the market. (Apple) Whatever, don’t pay for this app if you have Apple because it isn’t going to work properly.
