Will not work

nmayule

I opened the app and tried to set up but each time I try to go to the next step it shuts down and closes. The app is unusable. I want my money back. I’ll just stick with the book.

Horrible

App keeps crashing given after troubleshooting. Wouldn’t recommend.

App Crashes with race changes

Krlancas

In attempting to change races in the app (setting different race dates, distances, etc...) the app closes/crashes every time making this app no longer usable for future races for me. Disappointing considering it worked well for the marathon a few months back.

Great content but keeps crashing!

The app has great content but keeps crashing!

Great concept, doesn’t coincide with book

Bodi98

The reason I bought this app is due to the compelling testimonials regarding the FIRST program. Being that I got hooked on the book and began following the program for. Marathon, I noticed the constant crashing of the app every time I would update my times on the app. Also, the times and pages references does not coincide with the that of the latest book. I then decided to follow the times as stated on the book vice the app; although I use the app more as a reference point and taking a glance at my upcoming workouts for the coming weeks. Other than that, I am sold on the FIRST program and look forward to running a better time on the Marathon with this program. I recommend making the small adjustments and ensuring book app running times match with that of the book.

Not great.

I have two main issues with this app. The first one is that it crashes every time I try to set it up. That is obviously the biggest of the issues. The second issue is that there’s no adjustability in the program. For a beginner there are multiple multiple 20 mile runs, which just doesn’t make sense if you are fairly new to marathon running or it’s your first one. There should be beginner intermediate and advanced plans and schedules. But there are not. I am Disappointed that I paid for this.

Nice, but leaves some programs out

rizada453

This app is a great, user-friendly version of all the tables in the RLRF book, which I’m getting started using. I plan to use the program for my next half and marathon. But for now I’m between races and I was hoping to use the 5K intermediate plan...and it’s not included, nor is the beginner plan. You’re pretty much out of luck using this app unless you’re no more than 16 weeks out from a race and you can run at least 5 miles already.

Great but...

So glad this is finally available. No more having to lookup the FIRST tables on my kindle before runs. However I was really hoping that they would have included meter-to-mile pace conversions for the track repeats. I always have to lookup the conversions online before I do my speed work due to the way Garmin shows pace. Never quite understood why the book didn't include this. Also the app barks at you if you enter a marathon date inside of 16-weeks. If you run marathons with any frequency, it's rare that you find yourself training for a race that is 16 weeks out. Finally, make certain you put down Saturday as your race date even if your race is on Sunday, otherwise the app will throw your schedule off by one week (cut you short by one week). Other than that, it's a nice quick reference for your runs if you follow the FIRST system.

Running To the Next Level!

SandyTakeHeart

Great to see that it's now mobile. Whether running on the track/road or a treadmill, I can switch from minutes/mile to mph. It's really quick to switch between units. Love the speed workouts, the paces and having the cross-training workouts will take my fitness to the next level. This app is all I need to get faster!

Confused

Revmadre

Just uploaded this. Put in info for half marathon in April. It came back with a program that starts at 8 miles. This is def wrong esp for an inexperienced runner. I used the book for my first 5k and it worked beautifully. Want to do a 13.1 now, but no way can I begin at 8 miles without injury. I'm really disappointed.
