This app has no point! There's all these directions that my device won't do! Better off with another app.

Clumsy file setup & manual updates required. Useless for iPad local data update. Can't use a gedcom either.

The instructions to add the RootsMagic database from the Mac to the iPad are useless by using Dropbox. Looking at the list on the Mac while RootsMagic is open, there is no option under File in order to Save to Dropbox for the iPad version. I did a drag and drop but it will not open the database at all inside the iPad RM app. The entire process stinks!

The relationship calculator does not include entire database for 2nd selection.

I purchased this software and downloaded the free companion app when ancestry said they were no longer going to support their mobile app. Well I used to be happy with this app but no longer! You can't search the app at all anymore which makes it completely useless when traveling. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and no success! Please fix it!

Love Roots Magic, but you need a full Mac Version and you should be able to edit on any device and changes are made on all devices. And you should be able to tree sync like you can do on the computer version.

It allows you to view your PC or MAC RootsMagic tree. Okay. The RM software is excellent, but this app is basically only a viewer with no real functionality.

The app is totally useless to me now since the search feature is gone. That is the only reason for me to have it on a mobile app. There is no way to find anybody without already knowing how they connect to the root person. I have over 3000 names linked in my database and now I can't find them. I guess I could still see how they are related.

I was hoping for a better app but it's okay to take and view your tree. Don't see anyway to actually add or edit while in the field. Would need a laptop to take to research facilities to actually input new info. But then you wouldn't really need the app on the phone. I guess you could view on phone while looking up or researching files. Maybe future updates will address issues.
