Buggy and Crashes

nickreichley

The developers were relatively good at keeping up with iOS version updates with the exception of iOS 8. App crashes often, black bar at top of screen eats up viewing/desktop area. Looking for another VNC client.

Great, easy, full-featured

Works well

Great app that keeps being updated

GlennP2012

I love this app. I first purchased it when I had iOS 4, and it continues to be updated even today as new Apple devices or iOS versions are released or as people submit suggestions. If only all my apps were updated like this one. Great work peeps.

I Just Threw My Money Away By Buying This App

Pro App Reviews

Unless you are a total Propellerhead, this app is NOT for you. Because the Developers assume that you already understand every cryptic acronym related to setting up this system, and they give ZERO help in deciphering anything, or even telling you the basics. If you go to their very basic and lame website, you'll see a button to download the companion software that is installed on your laptop. However, when you actually click on that button, it merely sends you to a forum discussing the software. Someone in the forum has a link to what they claim is the right software, but if you feel safe downloading an executable file from strangers onto your laptop, then you deserve whatever virus you may receive. I had to Google the software and download it from Softpedia, and guess what? for Windows, the software is still in BETA form, even though it was written in 2013! Are these Developers saying they couldn't find time to actually update a crucial aspect of this software to something more than Beta in nearly TWO YEARS? After installing the software, you have to register it with their server, but when you do, it gives you ZERO indication the process actually worked. There's no pop-up or dialogue box to tell you if anything went through. I may not be an Uber-Techno-Wizard, but I know enough to know that this whole company looks like rank amateurs. If you're going to cost your customers money by selling them a crap product with a lousy website and nothing but old Beta software, then I'm going to cost YOU money by giving you a well-deserved ONE-STAR review.

I bought COMPLETE where did it go!?

cbuckridge

The support link in the App Store is not working so I have to write a review asking why my Remoter Complete now only has VNC available instead of all the protocols I need, and paid for. Also please fix Remoter Fusion for Windows it crashes constantly. It's time to release a stable version of Windows Fusion for Windows 8.1.

Very useful app, but interface hard to read

Emulator_

I've used this app for a couple of years now. I have one main complaint: THE INTERFACE IS VERY HARD TO READ. Once Remoter jumped into the iOS 7 and 8 interface "improvements," I have to now use the search functions to find the remote machine I want to connect to. Picking a configuration out of the tiled main screen is an exercise in futility (and I'm on an iPhone 6 Plus). The old interface was easier to read. I'd like to see it brought back.

Quite buggy overall

UltimateTacoKiller

Wait for an update. Menus and options were closed by the self without warning messages. Also, it's not clear what you get with the purchase of the app and what needs an IAP

Used to be good

DKguy

I reviewed this app about 2 years ago after I purchased all the in-app add-ons. It used to be good. Now it crashes all the time. Needs to be fixed. It's pretty buggy, seems maybe it doesn't like third party keyboards. Too bad, seems like they no longer care about the quality of this app. If they don't fix it soon I'll have to find a good alternative.

Black on black

mattski2

Works sort of okay, but the interface is black on black. Whose brilliant idea was this? Plus it can be impossible to access the part of the remote screen you're after, like the menu bar.

Wants to control a PC, not a Mac

DennisMcM

If you're accustomed to RDC then this is for you: out of the gate PC control give you access to a computer environ that is not currently logged in. Not exactly remote control of a streaming Mac. Good luck finding what you really need.
