Cant use it as alert

Veri2008

The app alerts me way after the earthquake, not that useful.. It would be great to get the alerts as the earthquake starts like in other apps

Top notch app

This is a great application, well-suited to both professional and novice earth scientists. It shows earthquake occurrences relative to plate boundaries and keep you up-to-date with the latest earthquakes with notifications. Great satellite imagery as a backdrop. Well done.

Las notificaciones se tardan mucho del terremoto al envío del mensaje.

I love checking out the locations of quakes. I’ve never heard of many places so I go online to learn a bit of history of these places! Check out Big Diomede and Little Diomede Islands!

App doesn’t recognize changes in magnitude or location notification

I loved this app until the last software upgrade. Living in Hawai’i on the Big Island, Kīlauea’s earthquake and “explosive events” nets 100+ earthquakes a day. Settings set to 3.0+ my iPhone now sounds like a pinball machine. Wanting to change notifications to 4.0+ and following instructions in IPhone settings AND QuakeFeed app, the app doesn’t recognize or change requested change to 4.0+ earthquakes. Even though the regional alerts documents 4.0+ and Hawai’i, the app still captures ALL 3.0 earthquakes, my phone still sounds like a pinball machine. The app also, not all the time yet frequently decides to alert and document earthquakes from around the world. My app is set to Hawaii, certainly Chile and China and Russia are not, in my opinion, even close to Hawaii. My regional alert settings are simply, Hawaii. I sent an email to technical support over a week ago to evaluate the situation and either provide the secret to Hawai’i only 4.0+ earthquakes OR investigate latest software upgrade. I’ve yet to receive a response. So, now my phone alerts me of any earthquake in the World 3.0+ magnitude and I’m receiving alerts literally to the point where I’m close to removing the app. Before the last software upgrade, 5 stars, now I’m considering “delete app”. Other reviews document the same issue, this isn’t a one-off situation, it’s a systemic issue that needs to be addressed immediately. Very frustrating, I’ve turned off alerts which defeats the purpose of the app. I’m rating this app as 2 stars based upon current performance and lack of email response from technical support. You could have had a 5-Star rating, prioritize fixing the issue instead of feature sets for the next upgrade, listen to your customers, loyalty can only be achieved if the app works as described.

QuakeFeed Map...

Wonderful app. Would be nice to be able to select a time period (12 /24 hrs, etc.) for showing recent earthquakes on the map. As is, it shows too long of a time period making map very cluttered.
