Very Unreliable - and Decptive

I must say that, having shelled out $$ for a lifetime subscription, I am finding that this "VPN" is either unavailable, or else staggeringly slow, WAY too often - both on iOS and Windows 10. Not a good choice!! UPDATE: it has been reported that PureVPN does, in fact, maintain records of web usage, despite claiming that it does not. These "non-existent" records were produced to provide evidence against a suspect in a legal proceeding in Massachusetts!! So much for their "respect for your privacy"!

1st Issue: invoices pouring in after Apple subscription cancelled I paid via (duh!) Apple, but PureVPN Support asked to create a separate email based account. Because their service was not working in my country, I had to cancel the subscription from Apple account. Still, they kept sending new invoice over email, with common collection threats. I logged back in PureVPN website in order to delete the account - no option to deactivate / delete it. I opened a chat with support, to ask for cancellation; they had me go through 15 questions form, the form went to a team that would analyze it and let me know whether they agree to cancel my account... 2nd Issue: Support I spent around 4 hours trying to setup the account, even though I started by telling PureVPN Support that their domains seemed blocked in my country. They had me re-do the manual setup for about 15 times, with different servers names, usernames and passwords, saying the connection is not working because I keep mistakenly input the passwords. After about 4 hours (during 2 days) they entered a loop, having me try the exact same steps from the very beginning. Then they stopped picking my ticket and replying my emails. Given the situation, I canceled my subscription via Apple account... And here is where the story from 1st point starts. Update 10th of October: the company is even worse! TheNextWeb: “As many as one in four web users rely on a VPN, and unless you believe more than 800 million people worldwide are using one for nefarious reasons, that’s a lot of privacy-conscious individuals that could be let down by companies like PureVPN. Lin aside, for PureVPN to deceive customers into believing they hold some level of anonymity online, while secretly logging their actions, is criminal.”

It drops connection a lot. I’ll be surfing around and BOOM...VPN is off. There are times when I can’t connect, either. All in all, if I can’t rely on my security program then it’s not secure. These problems have occurred on both an iPhone 6 and iPhone 8. It’s not the phone. It’s the app. Find something else - PureVPN isn’t worth the hassle.

Bad service; Hard to cancel

The app never worked as they stated and attempt to cancel but instead of letting me cancel they blocked my login, blamed login issues on maintenance and kept sending me to technical support rather than billing... multiple times despite asking politely to cancel. Sign up at your own risk

Crashing on IOS 11.0.3. iPhone 6.

After upgrading to iOS 11.0.3 the PureVPN app began to crash while connecting. No error message. App just closes.

Great app, but...

This is a great app overall. I used this service when I was in China for a while, and it worked with minor disconnections, which was the annoying part. It will connect to servers pretty consistently for the most part.

Not working well in iPhone

Works well in windows, but often cannot connect to China server in iPhone. Please fix.

Can't access some sites

When I'm using the VPN I can't watch Netflix. There are some sites I can't have access to until I disconnect from the VPN which is disappointing.

I’m a relatively new user, but have been using the Windows, Android TV, and iPhone version of this software heavily, and it has been very stable. Finding a fast server can take some trial and error, but once you find what works for you it’s very reliable.
