Review update 12/2018: KEEN has a forum for advisors use only. This is a concern. I have encountered several advisors operating fraudulently on this site and I can imagine a few sharing tips with other advisors through PM or coordinating contact outside KEEN to identify vulnerable customers. I happen to have money that enables me to continue sessions without the pressure of the clock ticking off funds. I caught two red handed and both left KEEN, one of their own accord, the other at KEEN’s insistence. There are many good and sincere advisors here but there are many scammers and surprisingly one was quite good yet she was stealing money by sneaking in a rate hike after a disconnection without informing me. She did it several times in the same session. Sent msg “call me back I have more to tell you” while she changed her rate. KEEN raised their greedy grab of advisor fees but downgraded the site making it more difficult to identify weeds. Most advisors raised their rates to account for their loss. KEEN removed the review bar graph so there is no longer a quick way to assess and pull up an advisor’s good to bad reviews. Now you have to go page by page and make notes. You still cannot sort chat transcripts usefully on either the website or in this app. It does not work properly on this app regardless of the sort preference you choose. KEEN allows advisors to change their names randomly so it is difficult to identify those you have experienced or should avoid or those you wish to keep an eye on. Here a picture isn’t worth a penny. I have seen pictures of different people used for the same advisor. And what’s with the almost porno theme so many appear to be going for? The Favorite tag is not precise enough. KEEN boasts a Satisfaction Guarantee but this is a measly $25 max per 30-days when the lowest rate available is $1.99/per min. ...hardly compensation for a bad experience. Also, KEEN allows multiple reviews from individual members so an advisor’s overall score can be deceptively skewed by a single user. Make sure you read all the pages of reviews and look for the same name appearing over and over. This is not the advisor’s fault and they may be very good so read the content of reviews and try to discern the mindset of the reviewer. Best and easiest to ignore their reviews as they are too biased one way or another. A final thought to consider, NO ONE is worth more than $4.99 per minute. I have had sessions from all over the map. The only difference is the size of the customer’s bank account balance. Of course you have more advisors to choose from if you have the money but quality is not determined by rate. The best I encountered charges the minimum and she is the best here out of hundreds I have used. Original Review: Pros: Better layout for reading chat transcripts than what is available on their website. Cons: Limited functionality. Payment for readings is confusing. Looks like only option is to pay in advance because the link says “Add Minutes” but it is actually a link to the option of paying before or after the reading. Some search filters do not work. Chat transaction list is locked to one inferior sort order and should offer options. The list begins sorting by the number of sessions you have had with advisors but when there are several advisors with the same quantity it seems to list those in random order. There is no back button so if you are reading a transcript and you accidentally leave a page you have to start over scrolling through the inferior listing order to return to where you were. Everything is linear so it requires you to take long trips through corridors when a better system could allow you to jump right to a location and remember where you were. It also takes a long time to access a large chat session list. You should only have to get to the list not download the content in order to see it. Long or short lists should take same amount of time. It is just text no graphics so should load quickly but it doesn’t. One other major flaw is that the advisor list doesn’t show present but busy advisors. The list only reflects advisors available now or away so you don’t know you only have to wait a short time for a desired advisor to become available. When comparing lists of chat transcripts between the app and the Keen website some advisor content is empty and the advisors status (available, busy, away) is blank. So there is a discrepancy between app content and website content. Pro/Con: Depending on what you prefer the layout being limited to portrait orientation may or may not suit you. Although I would rather have the option of either Landscape or Portrait with the ability to lock one down at least the way it is now allows you to lie on your side reading transcripts without it auto adjusting to keep top up and bottom down.
