external mic

it doesn’t detect external microphone! so when you record video the sound is recorded from internal mic with no quality!!!

Forcing for review for a paid app

I had to give you a single star for such a terrible attitude. I have paid. So you need to it it alone for me to choose to rate you.

Missing some features

Hey, add a setting in order to let us take a photo upside down so that we don’t have to rotate each photo by editing it. It’s a waste of time.

Portrait mode is garbage

Hasman14

Major weakness: You can’t adjust the depth of field while shooting, only from the editor, so you can’t see what the camera is recognizing as the subject. This essentially renders the “artificial bokeh” technology in the iPhone 12 Pro useless. On top of that, the “blur” editing as the ProCam calls it looks much worse than what the native iPhone app does. $7.99 wasted.

Great for shooting DSLR kind of photos

Which nickname is not taken???!!! Please~

Native camera app is almost fully automatic. It is great in most scenarios. But it has restrains under certain situation like low ambient light. That’s where this app shines. I just came back from a vacation in Greece. I took many photos during dinner, where I wanted to avoid using flash for the sake of image quality and other guests. This app gave me complete control over shutter speed, ISO and depth to make it possible. I hand-held my iPhone, so shutter speed had to be faster than 1/8 at least. It would be impossible to control this with native app I think. Another great example is controlling depth. I take photos of small insects and plants. Native camera app would always mess up the depth with auto focusing. (I don’t blame it btw. It’s called auto focusing after all.?) While this app has like laser coloring to mark out the objects in focus. It is precise enough for my use. I found it actually more convenient than using my DSRL for such close-up shots. All in all, a very nice free app gives me DSLR camera experience!

Not saving videos! Don’t use this app!

Jess4614

Edit I’ve been using this app for over a year now, originally it started to not take photos when trying to take one, which was a quick fix of just trying to take a few more and hope it actually takes one. It’s been doing the same with video also, but what used to be easy to notice that the screen would go dark when trying to record video, now it does not change at all and has the appearance that it is actively recording, it counts the time and has red text. When you finish your video and check for it, it’s not there. This issue didn’t happen for about 6+ months, it was great that the developers seemed to have fixed it, but it just did it to me again on an extremely important drawing tutorial video I was recording for my business. I recorded a 2.5 hour segment of drawing footage that is now lost and I literally have to do my whole drawing again! The tutorial has to be a complete tutorial so it doesn’t matter that I had 1 hour of early footage, 2.5 hours is gone! This is the last straw for me, I am never going to use this app again. What a waste of money, spend your money on an app that actually works and doesn’t cost you 3+ hours of hard work you can’t get back!

Not very good

Patrick C. O.

This app is odd. I really think no matter the settings I use the quality of photos it delivers look worse than the standard camera app. They look like they have more noise, and considerable artifacts that don’t exist in the standard app. Disappointed that the photos look no better or worse than what I already have. I will give it some credit for allowing you to pick some of your own controls, albeit no matter what you do your photo will look worse than the normal camera.

Not worth it

ForTheReviews

Sadly, as soon as I installed this, I regretted it. I thought it would take depth video to create a bokeh background; it does not, at least for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to take video for that effect, nor is the interface easy to use. Would love a refund.

Good but slow

YOUR BEER INFO

The quality is good but this is the slowest app I have ever come across. The length of time it takes to save an image can be timed with a calendar.
