Disappointed like Mrs Armstrong

After all this time thinking I was at fault in using Prisma I now realize that the app has some glitches. Crazy world made crazier by some wonderful technology. I was planning on purchasing at years subscription not have changed my mind. Good Bye Prisma.

To subscribe or not subscribe?

I came back to Prisma after sometime away, I liked it when it was free (or mostly free?) and I still like it. But, I opted for the three free trial days and intended to subscribe to the annual premium version however I see that the iPhone and iPad have different functionality. The iPad doesn't seem to include any fine tuning options like the iPhone version. I deleted and reinstalled the app a number of times to see if this was just a glitch. No luck, I can open a photo, apply a filter then just save or share. It's disappointing to not be able to fine tune the images on the iPad. I contacted customer support recently but haven't heard from them yet. So, in the meantime, I think the price is too high for such limited functions.

The subscription model ruins it

PhelineCat

$96/yr* Yes, good filters. Terrible subscription model. Frankly, I just don't see the justification for the cost when there are excellent news outlets that cost close to this** I hate the model so much I haven't used it in many, many months because I don't need the high resolution that much, maybe 6/year, maybe 1. Guess what- that's either $30, $5 or $20 and if I gamble wrong I've thrown $$ at you that maybe I'll never use again that year. No wonder I hate the model. It feels grabby. * A reviewer uses this as monthly saying the monthly costs aren't high. If paid monthly, not annually, the cost is $96/yr (12 x $8) I personally think any recurring cost should be accounted for (no apology for grammar- that's a totally specious "rule" as is most of Strunk & White) **I'm reading this 1/2020 and I don't know what I meant either; just another auto-correct that slipped by my ever vigilant eye as I tell developers exactly what I think of their overuse of subscriptions. Theirs and theirs and theirs and theirs and … jeebus guys. How much are *you* willing to spend on app subscriptions every year?

Slow

When I first got Prisma, I loved it. I used it for some photographs that I eventually sold. But in last year or so Prisma has become sooooo slow to find and upload my photo.
