Does not connect TV to all the speakers

miNdless behaVoir

When I bought this system the Best Buy tech lied to me that the app would be updated in 2 months to be able to have the tv play to all the speakers .it never happened. I was robbed. If I could turn back that clock.. I would say pleas buy SONOs!! Sonos does it all

The most useless app I’ve ever used

itjobforme

Doesn’t connect to my Polk speaker at all. I even connected it to wired internet and the app still doesn’t recognize it on my network.

Constant disconnects

NinjaMike

This was running ok, but the latest version of the software will play like 5 songs and then disconnect. I have good signal where the speakers are and this happens constantly. Wife wants a Sonos if this isn’t fixed. Update: now Pandora won’t login, don’t know if Pandora changed something, but this is another snag that is pushing us to Sonos.

Good sound, bad control

Chillygator

I have the Polk wireless system throughout my home. There is no control for the subwoofer which is set very high. I have to keep it shut off for just music and only turn it on for movies. It's strictly an on/off asset. I like to stream Pandora and it works well for a bit then when it gets to the end of a song, the speakers just turn off. Everything shows that music is playing but there is no sound. Support for the system is basically non-existent and I just wait for rare updates. The Polk wireless system is so close to being a good one but I wonder if the company has just moved on to something else shiny. Oh, and my son moved to Germany and can control my system from there! Last update ruined the system for me. I’m $2000 in with no usable music system at all and no support. Don’t buy Polk until they start supporting their product.

Good sound, when it plays :/

I’ve had these Omni apps and 3 Omni speakers for 2 years. The app has always had a Confusing user experience: for connecting speakers, making speaker groups, those groups staying grouped, and there is a lack of music control (bass, treble, etc). As of recently, the app has Constant disconnects. Cannot stay connected to Spotify connect for more than 20 seconds, cuts out for 20, then connects another 20. Frustrating. The speakers sound amazing when they are running, but something changed recently rendering them useless - please help!

Won’t connect to Pandora

acu.mama

Error 1202, Invalid Certificate, preventing Polk to connect with Pandora. THIS IS AN APPLE ISSUE as my husbands Android phone has no issues at all! I’ve contacted Polk Omni via email and have gotten no response, which means that I can’t use any of the 9 speakers I have for my office. I’m not interested in paying for yet another streaming service. Once this issue is resolved I am happy to increase your rating.

Unreliable

As many reviewers note, connection issues are constant. Will play fine, and then “attempts to reconnect” for no visible reason (no interruption of the signal, no moving of the device, etc.). Great idea, but poor execution.

Good app

Please add Apple Music !! Need to add Apple Music. Please add Apple Music. First update in forever August 2018 and still no Apple Music. Sad

Not great to say the least

It’s not possible to connect to Pandora. App send message that Pandora’s certificate is expired and server is fake. Impossible to connect. Pandora works just fine with all other apps except this one.

Settings ALWAYS deleted after power outage

LondonhawkX

I would give this at least 4 stars if I did not have to re-register my play-Fi speakers with the app after EVERY power outage that knocked both the speakers and my wifi(used to connect the rear speakers to the front) out at the same time. Appears they didn’t add any fail safe to hold onto existing settings that you spent hours to customize to your individual setup. It’s basically like playing the FIRST Nintendo system, where if you turned off the console, you always had to start the game from the beginning. Obscure flaw in this product that literally is a primitive problem for where ALL technology has come today. Great job Polk!
