Come on! Why the terrible updates?!?

PK RZR Rider

I’ve had Ride Command since 2017. It was a great app. You could download an entire state map of trails for offline use...and there were tons of trails. Now...Where did the trails go??? Only a fraction of the trails that were on the older version!! And you can only download small areas of trails-not the entire state!! This app has lost all usefulness. My saved rides are there but only the trail I saved-no trail on the map! I can only think that Polaris wants to rip us off on our hand held devices...even when we own our second Polaris RZR. Shame on the app designers for these changes! Terrible app.

Won’t sync

c3p032

After the last few updates, I’m not able to sync/upload rides to ride command. It’s connected to my rzr, can make and receive calls, etc... but if I try to upload a ride it claims it’s not connected even though it is. Deleted/re-paired Bluetooth, didn’t help. Deleted/re-installed app, didn’t help. Restarted phone, ride command, etc, still claims its disconnected when trying to upload a ride trail even though all other phone functions work.

Keeps crashing

SthLord

I love the *potential* this app has to offer, but seems there’s still a lot of glitches that need to be worked out. The first ride I tracked seemed to work fine, but when I pulled it back up after getting home it showed my track “flying” directly south for thousands of miles, and reaching an elevation of 120,000 ft. My quad’s good, but not that good. I’ve tracked three rides since, and they all seem to have worked right, but the app crashes at random times during the playbacks. I’m hoping for more updates and glitch fixes, because I really like what the app has to offer.

Offline maps

560924562

I use to be able to use download an entire state and see my location when I have no internet connection to my tablet. Now I can only do a small area and I can’t zoom to see the trail better. The app is now useless without the offline line maps it previously had.

Was a great app but latest version does not allow me to log in

Missing basic features that would make it great again

JeremyDeal

App won’t rotate upside down: My phone (and a lot of others) are mounted upside down on the A-pillar so that that the charge cable goes up, and into the Polaris wire management hole inside the top corner of the roll cage. App used to rotate upside down many versions ago but they put a stop it it. If you mount your phone horizontally and want to use the app in landscape mode you’ll loose nearly all your options. Landscape is nice to get a better lay of the land nearby me, but it restricts so many of the basic options that are available in portrait. When my device is in its holder and I’m running down a trail it’s a pain to pull over and get out of the way, take the device out of its mount turn it vertically just to perform the actions I need then mount it all back up horizontally again. Please fix this, it’s been happening far too long now. Back when this app first came out this was not an issue. For some reason they also removed this feature. Summary: I don’t understand the need to keep us in portrait mode or prevent the app from working upside down. Those are simple things that are easy to fix and improve the user experience. All my buddies have a Polaris and these simple missing features prevent them from wanting to use it — even though the group ride feature is so nice to have. I’m still hoping one day these long standing issues are fixed so we can enjoy this app again. Until then I recommend using a different GPS app for your rides.

Bugs fixed. Finally.

Earlier I wrote a one star review because after I updated my app it was STILL not loading. I finally just deleted and re-installed fresh and it finally seems to be working. Thank you for finally updating the ride command app!

I run a dedicated GPS along this app because it’s such a pain to use. All my buddies have Polaris and this app is such a pain that no one wants to use it even though the group ride is cool. I’m still hoping one day these long standing issues are fixed so we can enjoy the app again. Until then I recommend using a different GPS for your trail ride. “GPS Tracks” and “UTV Trails” are great alternatives.

Partial work

This app used to work on my IPad Air; but now it opens and then closes immediately. I used this app to research rides and would like it to work again. When it was functioning I thought it was great
