V5.0 ruin my saves

After updating the app it keeps on crashing.. I was forced to delete it and reinstalled it, meaning that I lost all my Pokémon data... This is one of the best app out there but this one was a big mistake from the creator.

Wow it’s awesome.

This app is definitely the mega version of poke genie, I like it because of all the stats that shows and all the different options not mention the new update you just put on just gives it that extra horsepower! GG

Best patch notes

*Fixed an issue with the level Arc. Sorry about that.* Most apps nowadays say, “We updated the app just download it.” This guy personally apologizes for bugs. 10/10.

Awesome!

Great tool and simply easy

Keyboard alone is worth download!

As an iOS user it is very annoying you cannot maneuver inside the name of a Pokémon inside of Pokémon Go. You must delete the whole name and retype if you want to add a special character at the beginning for identification. With this keyboard you can finally pick where the cursor is and insert something or delete. I also love you can set your list of favorites on the keyboard.

Keyboard is the best feature

Overall, kudos to the developer for a well made app that looks pretty sleek too. It will even auto-import in the free ads version, unlike another popular IV checker currently in the App Store. The iOS keyboard integration is truly the best feature of this app. I can now input special symbols, copy & paste text, and edit within the name. That said, I wish we could drag and drop our favorite symbols because I want them in a certain order. I’ve had to redo the whole list several times already (twice because I accidentally tapped on a symbol and it got removed). That was such a pain. Also, a few symbols don’t work and showed up as boxed question marks. There is also a minor, yet inconvenient, issue with the keyboard when there’s a “?” in the name. I would definitely consider the paid subscription once the name generator is more customizable. The IV checker is not much faster than inputting the info yourself into a browser-based IV calculator, but can’t blame the app since it doesn’t have direct access to Pokémon appraisal. More importantly, I disagree with the calculation of the defensive rating half of the time. I think the algorithm needs improvement. Blissey’s best defensive set should be zen headbutt and dazzling gleam.

Current app version glitchy

The new version keeps crashing every time I attempt to view a new or old scan. IPhone 7 with current iOS. I like this app but it is currently unusable. If this is fixed...I will love it again

So useful and convenient!

It’s easy to select a screenshot and enter in appraisal information. There are options for marking Pokémon as hatched or from a raid. You can even link other screenshots of the same Pokémon either powered up or evolved. This includes linking previously saved screenshots. This doesn’t even mention how useful the keyboard is. Overall, this is a very solid app that I’m glad I found.

Crashing problem

Kl16tm

Been using PokeRater happily for past year but in the past week it’s been crashing frequently when I select an image after the photo has been imported. Sounds like the version update was supposed to fix it but my problems have all been after the update. Tried deleting all my screenshots - that didn’t work. Only uninstalling the app and reinstalling it works so far. That’s already getting old since it’s been 3x in the past week.

Gold standard of Pokemon Go Apps

PokeRater is exceptional, providing more functionality than its top iOS competitor PokeGenie for free. Bulk importing of screenshots, moveset evaluations based on qmike's spreadsheet, AND a keyboard! The keyboard is really the differentiator as it allows you to use keyboard with all ASCII that is acceptable in the Pokémon Go app for iPhone. And it lets you insert characters at any position! Absolutely wonderful, beautiful app with an excellent developer manning the helm of it.
