Update?

LiquidMacabre

Too many times this app doesn’t properly read the level, how it was caught, and moves, causing me to have to manually type them in, when a certain other similar app doesn’t have those problems nearly as much. Plus when do you plan on adding blast burn to Cyndaquil from the last community day. I shouldn’t have to wait this long. It isn’t like you didn’t know this was coming. Now it’s failing to ready a shiny swablu for no reason.

Works good most of the time.

App's not perfect, but it works. Never did recognize my shiny raichu, but the other issues seem to be solved.

Crashes new iPhone 8 & crashes PoGo frequently

AutumnGray

Update: In addition to the other problems still unsolved (I will update this review when they get fixed unless I get too fed up and give up), now every time I import a screen shot it creates three new records. So every time I add a Pokémon I have to delete two duplicates. Original review: This app has at least one really serious memory leak or other fatal bugs making it almost useless. Without fail, every day that I use this app, the more I use it, the more often it crashes. It only takes 15-20 minutes to start becoming problematic. It also frequently crashes the Pokémon Go app also. Before every crash, this app and PoGo start hanging/freezing for 30-90 seconds at a time. At that point, if I don't shut them both down, it completely crashes my brand new iPhone 8 I just got a few weeks ago (entire iPhone powers down and restarts without warning). Additionally, when using this app, my battery drains more than ten times (1000%) faster, necessitating that it ONLY be used when the phone is charging. Every one of these problems ONLY occur when I am using this app and NO other apps are open (except Pokémon Go). These issues are never a problem if I just use PokeGenie instead of PokéRater. Although PokeGenie is way better than PokeRater at detecting a Pokémon's -exact & accurate- level, IVs, and battle simulation calculations, it doesn't give me a way to set my Pokémon nicknames with unicode characters(to fit into the allotted nickname character string length), hence my need for this app. If they don't fix these critical bugs, I will simply cancel my subscription and report every one of them along with my iPhone system data/diagnostics to Apple as soon as I am done renaming Pokémon, and use a different keyboard option altogether. I have a fair amount of formal education in UX, mobile interface design, web & mobile app testing, and OOP (BS Informatics from University of Washington - Seattle). If the devs want more details to make their app as accurate and useful as PokeGenie (so I can simply use a single app instead of two), I am willing to provide further details and a (very) small amount of unpaid testing assistance.

Great App

Easy to use! Fast.

Wonderful app. Great people to have as developers!

I love this app. I am so glad that the team is so responsive to feedback and polite!

Good app but keyboard could use some improvement

For they Keyboard. I just wish instead of stopping at ㊿ it went all the way to 99 so I could use it to note a Pokémon’s IV with only one character instead of 2 (I use ⓒ instead of 100 as it is the Roman numeral for 100) I like that you can set your favorite keys, but am disappointed you can’t re-arrange the order of the keys.

Great App

As far as Pokémon Go IV apps are concerned, I like this one the best. Very comprehensive, easy, convenient, and full of amazing features. Update: Working great since the CP rework. The community option is nice I suppose, but I don’t think I’ll ever use it. Accurate in their appraisal, but would like to see reworks for multiple Charged Moves.

Monthly Subscription is a Deal Breaker

Headplay

This app is probably the best I’ve seen not only visually but mechanically smooth. Remove ads $3.99 or get a monthly subscription for 99¢ which will remove ads and give you access to other features. 99¢ a month isn’t a bad deal but I’m sick of all these apps wanting monthly payments. App makers should get paid but enough with the monthly BS! I would be happy to do an app removal every year but I don’t want anymore monthly payments as it is. Please rethink this option. I would very much like to use this app but I don’t need another payment plan.

Outstanding Pokémon Keyboard and IV Rater

chezbriand

Truly a must have for the serious Pokémon trainer! My favorite feature is the iOS keyboard integration which enables me to quickly rate a Pokémon’s IVs and generate the text clues to name my Pokémon with. The app is also frequently updated, and well worth the full feature subscription!

Great App!

This app has quickly become my favorite IV checker for Pokémon Go. The ease of use and ability of the app to recognize a Pokémon with a changed name is phenomenal. Two other apps I used in the past couldn’t recognize a Pokémon if the screen shot/name had been altered. Moreover, with the addition of PvP, the evolution IV predictor has saved me a ton of stardust by preventing me from evolving and/or powering up a Pokémon above a league cut off.
