I don’t always have access to the internet, but I don’t have issues reading the downloading articles I have selected. I enjoy the mix of articles that are offered.

I really don’t get why it has only 3.5 average rating, but it’s my fave app. It’s able to save almost every article, from almost any source and without it I probably wouldn’t read half as much as I do.

I absolutely love having a way to save valuable articles and other links. Sometimes it’s to keep forever but sometimes it’s to remind myself to read later when I don’t have the time. I have used it for so long that I forget about what other things I’ve saved. It would be used more regularly to pass the time if I had the option to have a random generator so I can find old things I loved but forgot about since I save so many articles. Would love to stumble through old saves.

Offline content downloaded to a device is not included in iTunes or iCloud backups. Think about that for a second and you’ll realize that any claims to support offline reading are, in any practical sense, false. Pocket has known this for years and done nothing about it (in fact the issue seems not to have occurred to them). Look elsewhere for a usable offline reader. The developer’s absurd response (below) only highlights their failure to comprehend how their product is used. I’ve been reporting this issue patiently for years, but nothing has been done or even, it seems, even understood.

If I lock/sleep my iPad while reading, Pocket loses my place and starts back at the top of the article when I wake my iPad. Very annoying to lose my place in the middle of a 3000 word article. This worked fine prior to v6.6.0 so I don't know why they can't fix this after so many updates.

This app was an early innovator in the field, but it is showing its age. The built-in reader mode is more effective and works on more sites than the one used in this app. Competitor apps offer highlighting features not available in Pocket. And long requested features like the ability to see articles that one started to read but never finished have been ignored. I still use Pocket, but it feels more and more like a big box I shove things into rather than a genuinely useful tool for handling information overload.

Used to love this app but now, when you save a page to Pocket, the article is cut off 1-2 paragraphs in. Unless you want to save a VERY short article, best to find a different app that will save the ENTIRE article that you want to save. Nothing more annoying than saving a recipe to Pocket, only to find that Pocket only saved part of the ingredient list and zero instructions on how to cook your food. Time to dump Pocket and find an app that works well!!!
