My favorite app

I love being able to save articles that I think I might want to read for later. Even more, I love being able to load up on articles before a trip so I can get to them without a data connection. This app has been extremely useful for years.

I have used Pocket for years, the last couple of updates are clearly moving in the wrong direction. Now I use much less of it. If the shenanigan continues , I will ditch it.

Great app, recommendations could be better

I like the concept of the app and use it often, but I wish there was a way to filter the “recommendations” part, and that section is flooded with garbage, sensationalist articles from Medium, Buzzfeed, or self-help sites, basically spam. Also, recommendations for political articles are overwhelmingly leftish, laden with PC-policyng.

Still one of my favorite apps and it keeps getting better. I love the new highlighter tool! Pocket is such a great way to save articles and other content. Kind of like a virtual scrapbook that lets you keep anything. Makes life easier.

I love this app. I save all sorts of things for work. I love that it’s available as an app and on the computer. I love that there’s an extension for Google Chrome. It is really easy to use and tag items.

Sometimes it downloads a reference to the article as an HTML, rather than the article itself, but this only happens every once in 20 downloads ?

I want the app that this promised to be!

A genius idea, but it falls far short. I hope they fix this Fundamental problems: (1) numerous crashes (2) it will not resume long videos at where you left off (3) if you go into menu to change subtitles you will not get out unless you kill the app. (4) lock-rotate does not work. Please fix this.

I really love this app, I use it constantly, I only wish it were cheaper. I’d be happy to pay $5-10 dollars one time for it but unfortunately the current subscription pricing scheme pretty much rules that out. You see, once you set reoccurring subscriptions they can run on forever, and that’s a real issue. I know several widows that I’ve spent hours with trying to stop them after their husband passed away. I’m not young anymore, thing happen and if I were to subscribe the subscription may run on forever since my wife is, to say the least, non-technical. So if something happened to me she wouldn’t have the slightest clue what’s going on, why are these things showing up on a credit card and have no idea how to stop them. Problems of re-occurring charges could go on for months, even years, so I can’t do it. So a sincere “Sorry” to the authors. I wish there were a direct purchase at a reasonable price, but it is what it is. I subscribe to the Wall St. Journal, the paper edition, I’d like to have the digital as well but the same issue exists. My wife understands a news paper and how to cancel it, digital, no way. But thank you for Pocket even without the premium app. I highly recommend it everyone as an essential tool.

Amazing way to save interesting reads for later

I love Pocket. I’ll frequently come across articles that look interesting but don’t want to stop my workflow - now I’m able to save them in an easily readable format for later. Can’t see myself without it.
