This app has been developed for nine years and it still works on older iOS devices the subscription shouldn’t be an issue and if you feel after nine years a pharmacist putting his time developing this is insufficient well maybe it’s best you’ll look elsewhere because you cannot find any more concise app than this. It has helped me through numerous surgeries numerous oncology patients and numerous times where the standard databases have failed me so not only do I suggest and recommend I endorse this app.

Wonderful

As a PharmD student, this app help me when counseling patients, studying drug cards, and anything I need more information on. Wonderful clinical reference with extremely cheap prices!

No other word: Exceptional!

I’ve been using this app for years and nothing else compares. Until recently, it was free, stunningly. The monthly subscription is worth every cent for any student or healthcare professional.

Pricing Overreach

At what point will developers learn not to price themselves out of business (or in this case, deletion)? From .99 for a paid app, to a subscription-based .99/month or 9.99/year. Out of nowhere, without warning. For an app that I might open up a few times a year. Money grab, much? I’ve read the dev’s responses — pay up per month when you want to use it, then unsubscribe, then subscribe, then unsubscribe, rinse and repeat. No — how about pricing an app according to its usefulness without leaving your customers feeling gouged. The most I would pay to continue using this app is a yearly subscription of 2.99. Anything above that — well, you can take your over-inflated app and consult a proctologist to have it removed.

Loved it, but

Love the app, its very helpful for me in grad school. But I’ll be deleting it now, because I can’t afford to pay every month to keep it- i already paid for the app years ago when I first downloaded it. So disappointed :’(

Great Rx/Drug info app, New subscription unfair to past customers.

I’ve loved and recommend this app since purchasing it six years ago. At the end of my post I’ve included the 5 star review I wrote 3 years ago to demonstrate my support. I and everyone who had previously purchased the app before requiring a subscription to even open the app made an investment which has allowed you to survive & thrive since 2010. Our investment was not only paying $0.99 or whatever price, it was our time basically Beta testing your app and giving you data, feedback, or other info which helped develop the current app. However, I am now notified eI need to pay a monthly subscription to use the same app I’ve had for 6 years... that’s is so disrespectful. You should grandfather your past supporters and only charge those purchasing the free app from now on for subscriptions. At least allow some functionality that doesn’t require a subscription. Your requiring a subscription, even at $0.99/mo., it is penny wise and pound foolish. For the amount of short term gains you might have, you’re going to miss out on so much more by losing your most loyal fans that have been with you and supporting you over the years. Not to mention all the new customers you might have earned through all the exposure by posts, tweets, and event the old word of mouth free marketing that would more then make up for the potential lost revenue from trying to nickel & dime customers who’ve supported you up to now. I hope you reconsider your position of requiring subscriptions for your past customers. You had an amazing app, I hope you can survive with new subscription requirement. This was the review I posted in 2016: Great Rx app, This is a KEEPER!!! FREE until 2016 updates I searched and compared lots of apps and this was the best Pill Box app for myself and for tracking family or being a caregiver. One guy is working on 2016 updates. Please read the "About" section on developer's website. This is a great app with lots of good features that's still worthwhile while it's being updated.

Great app! But not willing to pay for it!

Had this app for years, downloaded it for free initially, deleted it a couple months ago. I’m not willing to pay when all the information provided is available free on the Internet.

I paid for this app, now they want a monthly fee

stluisrey

I get it. But I paid for this app, and should be no other charge. Now that they charge monthly fees, this app is no longer useful for me.

Pocket Pharmacist is awesome!

An app that I have used and love for years. Keep up the great work! Highly recommend to all.

B.S Move by developer.

Bought the app when it came out a few years back now the developer locks the first paying customers he had with the b.s of making us pay a monthly fee. Its a good app but I'm sorry how is this right? How can you make people repay for something they bought for a one time charge. I understand if you wanted to do that from now on but it just doesn't seem right to do this to people that own it. It's better to just Google the info you want instead even if it's going to take one or two more minutes than paying people that are going to screw you again with another b.s charge later again.
