Great Rx/Drug info app, New subscription unfair to past customers. – Pocket Pharmacist Review

I’ve loved and recommend this app since purchasing it six years ago. At the end of my post I’ve included the 5 star review I wrote 3 years ago to demonstrate my support. I and everyone who had previously purchased the app before requiring a subscription to even open the app made an investment which has allowed you to survive & thrive since 2010. Our investment was not only paying $0.99 or whatever price, it was our time basically Beta testing your app and giving you data, feedback, or other info which helped develop the current app. However, I am now notified eI need to pay a monthly subscription to use the same app I’ve had for 6 years... that’s is so disrespectful. You should grandfather your past supporters and only charge those purchasing the free app from now on for subscriptions. At least allow some functionality that doesn’t require a subscription. Your requiring a subscription, even at $0.99/mo., it is penny wise and pound foolish. For the amount of short term gains you might have, you’re going to miss out on so much more by losing your most loyal fans that have been with you and supporting you over the years. Not to mention all the new customers you might have earned through all the exposure by posts, tweets, and event the old word of mouth free marketing that would more then make up for the potential lost revenue from trying to nickel & dime customers who’ve supported you up to now. I hope you reconsider your position of requiring subscriptions for your past customers. You had an amazing app, I hope you can survive with new subscription requirement. This was the review I posted in 2016: Great Rx app, This is a KEEPER!!! FREE until 2016 updates I searched and compared lots of apps and this was the best Pill Box app for myself and for tracking family or being a caregiver. One guy is working on 2016 updates. Please read the "About" section on developer's website. This is a great app with lots of good features that's still worthwhile while it's being updated.
