Setup a job for yesterday the day before we’re hosting a birthday party. 24 hours later and no one has shown up. The support staff keep telling me that they are trying to reach my provider. I really wanted this service to work, but it’s not reliable.

I was at a loss to find a reliable lawn care provider in my area. A friend suggested the Plowz & Mowz app. What a great find! To be able to tap a button and schedule my lawn care is so easy to do. I have set. A schedule for care to be done each ten days. You have the ability to pause the service at any time, restart it with a tap. It’s so simple! They offer a lot more than lawn care. I also had mulching done. They were in, completed the work and left with no issues. I am really pleased with it all, my life is now less complicated. It is easy to communicate with them, and I would recommend this service highly.

I’ve only been using Plowz and Mowz for about a month now, but I can tell you the service is great so far. I have a reoccurring lawn mow set up every ten days. It was very easy to set up using the app, the work is always done promptly, and the quality is definitely above any other provider I’ve tried. Customer service even appears to be hands on, which is a huge plus in my opinion.

Terrible and unreliable providers

Sounded like a great concept. I don’t know what type of vetting process they use to find their landscapers but over the past 6 weeks, I scheduled three lawn mowing services with them and the first two times, the provider didn’t complete the job and had to be called to come back. And the third time, the provider never showed up.

Everything is fine until it’s not

I highly discourage the use of this service. While the reps are friendly with their communication, they are a hands off third party referrer of service providers, and when the service is bad or damage is done to your property (as in my case) it’s not Plowz and Mowz “responsibility”. I am still awaiting reimbursement from a “service provider” damaging my home and causing a flood in my garage. Not only have I had to deal with the repairs they make ME wait for insurance reimbursement. Plowz and Mowz has their money and then they’re gone.

***UPDATE *** - Well although the app is easy to use after I left this review I had a an absolutely awful experience!! It took 10 days after the original scheduled date (only 2 of those days rained but only maybe an hour per day) and I think 8 different providers accepted the job before my yard was mowed! Countless phone calls, texts, and chats with the company. Some reps were good some other reps lied to me and just said what they thought I’d want to hear. I know they can’t control the providers but they sure can “fire” them if they aren’t doing their jobs. One provider took the job to cut it on a Sunday but yet they don’t work on Sundays. So then don’t take the job !! They did give me some credits but it was a pain in the a** ! I’ve used this app multiple times for lawn mowing. It’s quite convenient. Haven’t had an issue with the app. I do wish there was a way to get the same provider each time. Even though I rate the provider good, which is what I was told to do in order to get the same one, I always have different ones. They’ve all been good but there was one that was particularly better.

If I could rate with more stars I definitely would! Plowz & Mowz has given me more time to spend on things that really matter - not sure I’ll ever go back to servicing my own yard!!

I keep giving this app a chance just to be disappointed. Providers often don’t show, poor communication, inadequate customer support, providers don’t complete jobs, and hide behind Plowz and Mowz reps.

They are extremely good at customer service , responsive and easy to work with. But they have big problem in vetting, finding quality providers. I had two devices both of them end up in very poor quality. They only rely on pictures sharers by providers with no context. They ignore user reviews and feedback and keep sending the low quality providers if they provide low price and high margin for them. My sincere advise is to fix the vetting process to find high quality providers even if they cost more . Let customers decide based on what best fits their scenario not who gives you the most profits .
