Great if it worked!

Can't get videos to play on my Ipad while Im away from home. Nothing happens.

The new app is a great companion to the new software. This now combines the ability of the Playon and PlayLater apps into one. Videos loaded into iTunes on my computer now can be loaded to my phone/iPad and played with the option to skip adds. So when I'm on the go with no internet (like on a plane or taxi) I have all my shows still accessible. Well Played Playon, Well Played.

The new lock screen controls for Chromecast are a home run. Great enhancement to PlayOn! The new UI and fixes for iOS 8 are fantastic!

Since the upgrade to version 4, the video streaming on iPhone is very poor. Every split second the picture undulates from sharp to pixilated making it impossible to watch a show or movie. The PlayOn Program on our computer is up to date with all the November fixes, but streaming on phones is not working.

Terrible functionality. Setup is severely dysfunctional. I upgraded, and it never would recognize my upgrade. Tried rebooting, deleting, and re-downloading, still same problem. Also, I have a 1 year old PC with Java enabled, play on said it wasn't, and even after I paid more $ for the upgrade, it wouldn't let me past there "sales" page. The iPhone app is terrible. This is so bad it's probably a scam...

The iOS app provides most of the functions of the desktop program. One feature that would be nice to add for the app is notifications when a recording fails or completes.

Horrible app. Neither the PC app or the iPhone app would ever work when it actually came to PLAYING a video. It barely worked to just navigate through either of them. At first everytime I tried to play something it would keep giving me a popup to upgrade, which I had already done. Then it stopped doing that and anytime I tried to play anything it would just sit on 100% loading for 10+ minutes until I finally had to shut it down myself every single time. And even if I was using the phone app the PC app would freeze and I would have to shut the whole thing down. I was super excited for this app, but Save your money-This app is the worst. The only positive is that the support team responds very quickly. I am currently waiting on them to refund my money. We will see how long that takes.

In our house, we use three Roku devices and have Playon install on our I-phones. I'm happy to say that playon now works perfectly on all of these devices. In the past, Playon has had connectivity issues. I seriously believe that the root cause of those problems was lack of sufficient memory on the PC. It was right after we upgraded from 4G to 8G of ram on our PC that the connectivity/buffering issues went away. I especially like the Playon Picks channel and the scheduled recording. It all blends together seamlessly for our household. Thanks Playon!?
