was great for about 1 month now can not connect. 1-5-20

Pretty much useless

Siri can pretty much do everything the app does. It wouldn’t even recognize my phone was connected.

Unusable

Not sure why anyone would rate app above 1 Star. The second it turns on your stuck with it’s choices. No way to access Pandora and choose stations. Haven’t gotten voice command activated yet. Better off not using USB. Just use normal Bluetooth your blood pressure will stay lower.

OK but needs improvement

UI needs to be more simple, minimal and modern Add the ability to reach and play musics apps installed by the users but not listed in the smart sync app

No

I disconnected the app from my radio once and now it doesn’t even try to connect again. It’ll ask me to pair to the radio but it won’t actually do anything. I have spent so much unnecessary time trying to figure this out. This shouldn’t be an issue

I don’t understand all the negative reviews.

Perhaps I just got lucky, but after testing the app with my new stereo system for 2 weeks, I have not had any problems with it. The stereo I installed in my 2003 Dakota is the Pioneer DEH-S4220BT. Audio from any music app I have tried streams seamlessly from iPhone 11. I haven’t used navigation much, but did find it interesting that Maps now marks the location of my parked vehicle. Siri works fine over the stereo as well. I only wish support would be added for controlling SiriusXM app.

Doesn’t work with my iPhone 11 Pro Max & DEH-S4120BT

I called customer support, they blame Apple. Well, my phone connects via Bluetooth fine to the radio. It’s the app that doesn’t work. It worked fine before iOS 13. I don’t understand how companies have access to the beta versions of iOS for so long in advance, and when updates are released, they blame Apple. Fix your code in your app with the beta versions prior to release. It’s unacceptable to blame after the fact. You would have known months ago it didn’t work with the beta versions. UNACCEPTABLE! For a company this big and old, get your act together. UPDATE:App works fine if you connect via USB. But who wants an extra cable attached. Bluetooth, still NOT working. Even after the new “supported” iOS 13 update. Does anyone test this app before release?! UPDATE: 1/24/2020. Just got a new update for this app. All the problems I have had still exist. I CAN NOT connect through this app. I CAN connect to the radio via Bluetooth with the iPhone 11. Since iOS 13, this app has never worked for me. Everything works as it should, but this app. It’s NOT Apple fault. No help from Pioneer, no support given when call. Just finger pointing to Apple. I regret buying this radio, and never will buy Pioneer again. I purchased it over a competitor for this app integration. I so regret it now.

BUGGY TRASH

Paying for Spotify

On the last app update I’ve lost all playback from my phone. Radio doesn’t even work when the phone is plugged in. Fn BS!! Before that... you have to click to accept the caution msg on every startup, then switch back to your music app. Then Bluetooth doesn’t connect so you have to do it manually every time if you want hands free calling to work later during your drive. This is just JUNK! My 11 year old Pioneer head works great in our other vehicle with “dumb” usb, but I’m really disappointed in my new “smart” Pioneer DEH-S5120BT. SHAME ON YOU PIONEER!!!

Update killed it...

It was working “alright”, but the new update killed it. It now doesn’t reconnect automatically and has to be reset every time. I’m using iPhone 7, with updated OS. Shame to see this mediocre app fall...

It doesn’t work. Try to connect to it and it says don’t use when driving, even when my truck is in the driveway and I’m on my couch! It’s useless! Which makes the overall rating of the radio go down. Not happy!
