I had the picked for you turned off because I find it annoying and most of the time they are irrelevant and a waste of space on my feed. Now we can’t get rid of them, so I guess I won’t be using Pinterest anymore. I don’t see people I follow but instead it’s all spam and ads. If ruining your app and losing users was your plan for this update then you did a fantastic job...

Theoretically, you have some measure of control over what you see. If you like someone’s board, you can follow it, so you see more of their content. That idea just disappeared into the aether. The primary tab- the default view- has become “trending.” What used to be the dashboard, the people you actually follow, has been relegated to the second tab. As if that weren’t bad enough, the “trending” tab has endless scroll and refreshes whenever you click on it, whereas the “following” tab has ten pins, max, does not even cycle through them, and for some reason only gives me a list of people I know personally, which means I can’t even go to the other boards myself to track down the content I’m missing. Yet the “trending” tab is still trying to recommend more boards to me. Why? What’s the point? They’ll just disappear if I don’t save each pin individually. At what point will it decide my own boards are worthless and just replace the pins I’ve saved with ads?

This is a great app to find inspiration, but it won’t stop sending me notifications, even after I log out and delete the app. I don’t know what’s wrong with it, so get ready for an overload of recipes.

Please, please, please STOP filling my home feed with pins an algorithm has selected. I do not want to scroll through dozens and dozens of pins to find pins from people I have actually chosen to follow.

Immediately after getting a Pinterest I was bombarded with emails. I tried to unsubscribe from all of them it said it would take a few days with the emails to stop. It has been well over a week and I am still receiving way too many emails from Pinterest. Every time I send an email to support an automated Message comes back with no help at all. Customer service will not even provide me an actual answer to emails or a number to call. Terrible customer service and terrible email ad spamming constantly.
