Crashes on launch - apparently common

Mahalia Fan

Epic FAIL on this update.

Latest software update

Rrjjjmmm

The latest software update is defective. I can't open the app from my iPhone 6. It crashes. It worked fine until hue pushed this upgrade. Needs to be fixed and fixed quickly. I really have no use for these lights if I can't access the app and control the bulbs. Please push another upgrade to correct this problem!!

March 8 update unusable due to crashes

Efoster

Crashes every time I try to load the app. Have tried rebooting etc still crashes.

Horrendous application

The update made the app crash.

CRASHING AFTER IOS UPDATE

You guys gonna fix this app anytime soon? It's been 4 days now of crashing upon opening?

Never buying another Hue product

And this application crashing on start is why. It's been days and they haven't fixed it? Yeah, the developers are taking liberties with their ability to force auto updates on everyone. They should have reverted this days ago. Yep, this does it for IoT for me. Day 4 update: still can't turn on the Hue lights in my basement apartment. Others are citing intentional crashes directly on the main screen. Why, philips? Day 5 update: blizzard bearing down on the area. Relying on the refrigerator and a makeshift sock-candle for light, as the Hue developers still haven't reverted their intentional crash (I think they don't realize they're messing with people's light). Amazingly, my wifi provider's developers haven't thrown out their app, so I'm in the wonderfully strange situation where I have first world conveniences and almost no control of my lights. They keep turning on and off with these schedules that are all an hour off, because daylight saving must have hit, and I can't edit any of them. It's like having Sylvia Plath in my IoT; going to sell these things is going to be next to impossible with the way Phillips just abandoned their user base like this... Gah, I'm going to have to salvage them for LEDs once this blizzard ends and I can buy some good ole' non-fancified light bulbs.

Works good

Hahahahahahhahhahywsqgag

Love it

I think this app was better than than the new app. Scenes were easier to create, start adjust light brightness by selecting a scene. Now Philips update to the app seems to have broken the app. It will no longer launch. This is a bummer

Worst app clunky design Siri not working

With all the new lights and the really cool apps this one really looks like it's an old dinosaur. It needs to be completely redesigned like the playbulb app that is super cool. And now that all these new bulbs are coming out and they're a lot cheaper this whole system is going to just die out real quick if they don't do something fast. Bought the New hub 2.0 and now most of my lights don't work. The hub is not finding my previous lights that work perfectly with my old hub. What a piece of junk. I called tech-support now they're saying the new hub can't find the old bulbs with auto search. Are you kidding me???????? Siri now works only sometimes it's a hit or miss I should of bought Lifx I will not buy any more Philips lights
