I hired a pet sitter in the Manila, PH. As i’ve said in my review of the sitter, i was very pleased with my experience. They took good care of my cat and the sitters made me feel at ease leaving my baby with them. Would definitely use the app again and (probably) book the same people.

There was a request for a dog walking job from a SCAMMER - wanted to send me a lot of money via check to buy supplies not necessary for dog walking. Wasn’t willing to meet and wanted private information.

I have been a PetBacker sitter and dog walker on here for a year now and all I’ve been receiving is scammers. I only received two legit clients as a dog walker and cat sitter on PetBacker but for an entire year using PetBacker for my business it’s been a hell of a year and I do not like it. I’m so tired of getting fake clients so I ended up deleting the app and my services. PetBacker will no longer be seeing my business on their app ever again. Nice working with ya but it’s not the best app.

This is my second experience with PetBacker. My first experience was okay. I did not receive many job requests and it was not my favorite. Since rejoining, the customer service is outstanding! It is really important to abide by their rules and policies because this greatly affects your sitter presence when owners are looking to hire. In the last 12 hours, I’ve had 2 requests. Yes, getting 3 reviews helps the pet owners be more assured that you’re not just looking for a quick buck but you’re invested in the site. If you have a few friends even from other sites, they can write a review to help you get established. I’m very pleased so far and can’t wait to get the most out of the site.

This app sent me nothing but scams from people for my information. I took all the tests, paid for the services and it was a complete waste of money and time. It’s unwieldy and full of bugs. Super terrible.

Expired listings still being posted

It’s very annoying to still see postings for jobs which expired/not available still being listed as “Negotiation”. Also, the chat layout is often jumbled so I need to keep re-booting the app to read the thread in proper chronological order.

I haven’t been able to upload any images from my gallery, including my ID and driver license. The app is extremely hard to navigate and if you need to do another step to get started, it is very vague and doesn’t tell you what you need to do. It seems to be good for people who need their pets walked or sat, but as a sitter, I am struggling to figure this out. I’m considering deleting although I would love to use this app.
