Content great, app needs work

The content is great! The app is less than user friendly/intuitive.
Uhh, it won’t let me log in

Love what they have to offer, yadayada, but I simply cannot sign in using the app. I am able to on the website but when I type in my password it just says, “must contain 8 characters or more...” even though it’s the sign in page. So, unfortunately it’s unusable to me.

Lidia’s Across America Show

Last night, July 5, 2020, I watched Lidia’s big-scale Across America show. Wow, it was terrific! I had no idea of the barrel making that is behind a good wine, or the curing of a good ham, or tha crafting of a copper pan or cup. I enjoyed meeting the different chefs and learning how they got there. She took us to the vineyards, farms where raspberries are picked, etc. And I loved the conversation with her 99 year old mother. Brava, Lidia!

I have Passport now, but key recent programs are not available. For example, no Downton Abby, no Country Music. In short, you pay for the service, but they remove the programming.

I have learned more chemistry watching NOVA. After watching Frontline for years I went back to school and got a masters and went on to work at State Department.

Like most comments I did not think if I had the app I would have to PAY to view the programs I love. I “MET” Ken Burns via PBS. I MET Andrea Bocelli there also and countless ballers and plays and wonderful documentaries galore. I had access to PBS when I had no cable. It USED TO BE wonderful. I was hoping to be able to have the same experience through this app. I get it, they need money too but um, I’VE SEEN THE NAMES of the WEALTHY PATRONS scrolling by before and after some of the programs. WHY put the pinch on the average citizen trying to watch? Especially NOW. Most of America thanks to some overzealous governors and mayors have ruined the economy and most of America is out of work. I work at the Welfare office [from home now] and the amount of applications has quadrupled! People are broke PUBLIC BROADCASTING STATION! Why not give the PUBLIC a break and allow access for FREE and have fundraisers line you were doing via television access. Quarterly or whatever it was. I used to give during the fundraising because I love so many of the shows. Oh well, so long.

I love PBS & would give five stars except the app itself is glitchy and today it’s not working at all. The commercial at the beginning plays and then the app fails & I’m booted off. I tried multiple shows and the same thing. Please fix this,
