This sounds like a good idea on paper, however, this app is junk. It's not updated properly, the "news" is not news, it's what some little over worked young "editor" unpaid thinks is news in bedroom communities. Nice college try AOL but your organization is over.

This app needs an update. Every time I open it, it asks me to rate the app- which I'm finally doing. If I try to click "later", it freezes. Whenever I open an article, half the story is missing. Please update!

I think a user's experience with Patch varies by area as each neighborhood has a different editor. Our content (Norcross, GA) is always super local and informative with an occasional regional update. Our editor keeps us informed of home sales stats, cit hall meetings, upcoming events, recipes with local food sources, etc. I even won a contest by guessing where a heavily cropped photo was taken in town and received all kinda of cool Patch paraphernalia. If it weren't for patch, I wouldn't have learned today that we have noise ordinance that prohibits mowing the lawn or using power tools outside before 7am or after 10pm. Good to know! As for the app, it's slick and easy to use. I connected with my Facebook account and am glad to have Patch in my pocket.

Great App, don't need no news paper, don't need no other apps, GT Patch is my #1 & only gets better & better, if your not a Patch Reader , you need to start.. Keeps me updated in my erea & the erea around me... Love it.. 5 Star From Me....

Patch used to have great, regularly updated local content. Now filled with click-bait, tabloid style stories and non-local content I can get just about anywhere.

This used to be a great ap. a lot of town news. Now it's all ads and no town news only things from aol. Will be deleting patch
