Very frustrating experience

nevadagame

The folks at parrot do not seem to care if their customers have a good experience or not. My Zik 2.0 was defective out of the box. Would not charge. After waiting on hold with non existent "customer service" for a full 40 minutes, I was told by a well meaning but completely uninformed young lady, that I could send them back for analysis by the company, and since they were a French company, it would take a couple of weeks to accomplish! WHAT? So much for a Christmas present that should make you feel good. I wished they worked as good as they look. I did recently reach a technical support person and asked about the overwhelmingly negative app reviews, and he dismissed them as insignificant. ( the same thing they are doing with individual customers). Nice job Parrot

Terrible

bhollllller

Just doesn't work, very sad. Doesn't connect for some reason a complete and total waste. Should have bought Beats I am sure apple would not allow this lack of quality control. Big swing and miss

Backward Compatibility with Original Zik

Danielino

This app needs to be backward compatible with the original Zik line. Great headphones but not making app updates compatible at the price point for these headphones is absurd. Please update app.

Connectivity issues with iPhone 6 plus

KrisSM

Seriously when are you releasing an update for the app to fix the connectivity issues!!!!!!! 400 bucks and app does not work with the latest apple products!! ------------------------------------------ The headphones pairs to the iPhone no problem, however the application keeps showing "No Device Found" when the headphone's battery is low. After charging the headphones, I have to kill the app couple of times until it recognize the headphones are connected. I tried connecting the headphones with low battery to an iPhone 5s and there are no issues at all. Please fix connectivity issues with iPhone 6 plus.

Will not consistently connect to iPhone 6

RCL4

Will not consistently connect to iPhone 6. Even when it connects to the iPhone, the app thinks it is still disconnected.

Works great, missing some features...

They connect great with my apple devices. You have to disable the auto-connect feature in settings if you have more than one device. If you don't, you WILL have connection issues. They need to add a widget to control the headphone features while playing a game or watching YouTube. Also a Mac app would be nice as well. Other than that, the headphones sound nice and are comfortable. The noise canceling are pretty good, not as good as the Bose, but close. The app is laid out nice and is easy to use. But please add the widget. I hate having to switch between apps to change the sound when I should just be able to pull the screen down and go.

Excellent app for Zik 2.0

Uofmtigercowboy

I had no problems pairing and running the app on an Air 2 or an iPhone 6 plus. The app offers great control over noise control, equalizer settings, and several "concert hall" effects. It also has tons of searchable custom presets available for download and you can save your own presets. The app also tells you how much battery you have available and more. It takes a pair of rather plain sounding headphones (via direct cable attachment to source) and gives them life and an unbelievable amount of flexibility.

Older version was more intuitive

mtbikerejg

Not sure who these app developers think their audience is! I spend a ton of money on these upgrades and the older ones were better! The app was easy to customize. Who cares what the artist wants the equilizer settings to be! I hope Parrot upgrades its app to reflect the easily customizable features that we bought these excellent sounding headphones for. So far this app is VERY disappointing. Maybe over time I might like it better but at this time I feel "arrogance" the way the interface is presented! Gimme back my old app version!

Works as advertised

DrElkk

Headphones paired instantly with my iPhone 6. No complains about the Zik 2.0 or the app over the short time I've been using them.

V1.0 app was better

EssaouirAB

I owned two pairs of Zik 1.0 headphones. From a hardware perspective, I like the 2.0 pair I purchased a month ago. From a software perspective, I wish I could use the previous companion app. The new app appears to be the creation of a graphic designer, not a product person. The interface is too flashy and NOT intuitive. An equivalent app experience would make the decision to buy the 2.0 headphones a no-brainer. As it stands, I can't recommend upgrading because the app makes equalizer changes needlessly difficult and doesn't seems to provide automatic power off settings the way the previous app did. Also, I fundamentally disagree with the requirement of creating what seems like a social media account to edit my presets. Judging from the very small number of presets shared by actual artists anyone has heard of, this is a failed experiment. Let me make easy changes to the settings on the fly and give me Lou Reed presets back. Happy to update review if any forward progress is made.
