I like to be on top of what my daighter does in the internet. You never know what sites she can open so it's better to take precautions ‍

Hypocritical app that does not respect parents

I could write about the features for my children, but this is not why I am rating the app so poorly. I have taken serious attempts to not allow my device to be constant distraction; and I want to do the same with my childrens devices. One important step to do this is to not allow notifications for non emergency reasons. The Kidslox app will force you to decline notifications EVERY time you open the app. Support claims notifications are “vital” which I think is nonsense. I suspect that if developers cared about keeping my phone from becoming a distraction machine they could figure out a way for the app to function without having notifications on the parents device. If the only way to use Kidslox is for my phone to become a distraction machine then it still deserves 1 star.
