No functionality offline

HALLoWeeNie13

So I downloaded this app after a round of tablet removal from both of my younger kids. They just can’t judge the amount of time being spent watching mindless crap, and our daughter was starting to pick up jargon and foul language from videos that I couldn’t figure out how to block. I previously had a timer on the devices that shut them down after a specified amount of time, and for bedtime. However, the app was no longer available when I went to re-install. This was the next best thing with even more features, so I downloaded it and installed on our devices. So far so good; the videos our daughter was watching seemed to vanish from YouTube; I set quiet hours and restricted use to an hour each day. Easy peasy. Until we had to go for a car ride to meet my mother, and I knew her time limit was nearly up. At the end of the car ride, she was still playing. I looked at the timer on my phone and it hadn’t moved since we left the house. For this app to work for me, it needs to be functional offline as well as online. Obviously the content blocker doesn’t need to work because she has no access to the web when not on WiFi or cellular data, but I still need the timers and schedules to work. Our other tablet has data privileges and I expect it to work all the time, but we were considering moving that one to WiFi only as well. If this can be fixed, or is something that I did incorrectly, please let me know. Once that is added this is the holy grail of device management, outside of good old fashioned take-them-away.

LOVE THIS APP

APPWPS

I really like how I can monitor my kids screen time and that I can lock them down if the need arises. I love the emails that lets me know the apps that they have downloaded.

worst app ever existed. be normal

Mia(im a normal 13 Year old)

we children go on our phones because we are bored and want to talk to our friends. if our parents took us to do fun things we wouldn’t be on our phones. don’t get it. if you want your children to be NORMAL...... don’t get it. you shouldn’t want them to be anti social because now a days you parents have to realize that social media is our life and is how we communicate. you gotta understand that. don’t get this trash app it’s the stupidest thing ever. my loves people don’t use imessage anymore it’s called SNAPCHAT. you can’t use it and talk to the hot guys on it. hahahah ahhaha u parents aren’t funny: ur wasting ur time and you could be having fun #YOLO my god. if you have this app your parents hate you. have a nice day and let your kids be normal #Swag #ItsEveryDayBro MIA OUT peace don’t ruin a child’s day.

Great concept and design - if only it worked

Have been using this a couple of months. Put the kids on kitchen lockdown - 10 minutes later they’re back on child mode. Set up bedtime schedule, sometimes works sometimes doesn’t. Set up restrictions; some work, some don’t. Set up daily limits - it tracks the percentage, but shows them over - however much that is: 200% or what have you. Have asked for help, was told delete and reinstall. Have done so, doing so again. The kids and I both are extremely frustrated.

The last app you can ever download

CLBCHE

I had to delete this off of both of my children’s phones. It makes the App Store completely disappear and even as the parent you can’t get it back with out taking deleting the device management. It’s not worth it to have to undo it and redo it every time they want a new app on their phone. There are better ways to restrict app purchases through the App Store with out disallowing it completely.
