It's a really good game and I wanted to get hooked on it but couldn't because it's constantly crashing.

PUTTING MY $ WHERE MY MOUTH IS/WAS

A real review by a real person

Over the years, as a loyal BF (Big Fish) customer who has seen prices rise, quality worsen, and customer service (already so bad I couldn't imagine it getting worse...it did). They do not give service to customers, they make reporting an issue so painful in the hopes that you will go away. They serve themselves and their bottom line...period! I've often said I wished for a day when these small game developers could bring their gains straight to market, bypassing BF middlemen. That day seems upon us, so, sight unseen, I am buying this app to support this developer. If the game is good I will spread the word. If we all do this, the days of BF Monopoly will come to an end. Then, when you ask for customer service they might actually give you some, versus making you jump through more hoops than a circus performer, only to tell you later, so sorry, can't give refunds, it's really all Apple's fault. Yeah right. Hope we see more from good devs like Eipix, ERS, Elephant, Artifex Mundi, and others. Give us a chance. Offer good product at a fair price and stand behind your product, help when there is a problem. Make them and we will come. Promise!

Ads, Ads, Ads

DeeJays10

03/08/16 Only in about the third or fourth scene, not even enough to determine if I like it, & I have already had 3 ads.....no patience for being interrupted every 5 minutes or less. Will delete the game before I find out whether I even like it..... Is something wrong with game developers logic???

Poison Spring Smells Sweet!

This is an interesting, solid ghostly thriller in which you join a group of ghost hunters to investigate supernatural occurrences at a state park on the site of a Civil War battle. The dialogue between the characters is very informative and does not disrupt the fluidity of the storyline; I like how you interact with several characters throughout as opposed to focusing on one main character. The graphics/artwork are beautiful and clear using mostly darker colors to portray a haunting, ominous environment. You have one of the best "all-in-one" journals ever; it contains several tabs: notes to record story progression (very fleshed out and detailed), updated task lists, map, achievements, and strategy guide (last two tabs available upon full game unlock). The inventory is labeled; and at times, a little symbol appeared over an item to let one know that you would do something extra with it. There are three modes of difficulty exclusive of an option to customize your settings. The map will tell you the location name if you hold your finger on it for a second; it also lets you know if you have something important to do. The journal map does not teleport you to individual locations; however, about a third of the way into the game, you will start to acquire separate maps to affix to a bulletin board, which lets you teleport to different general areas and cuts out a lot of the back and forth. The HOS are all word lists, but they can be challenging and are very interactive with several items needing an extra step. There are many fun and varied puzzles throughout. You also use some fun, ghostly devices, such as the EMF meter to detect supernatural entities. This game incorporates a collectors edition including more scenes and puzzles, which initiates upon completion of the main game. Glance over your achievements early on because you collect 20 wolves in the game. I took off a star mainly because of lack of a more direct transportable map and lack of customized settings because I am spoiled by Big Fish. Also be aware that you will have a few disruptive ads during the demo, but they disappear upon unlock. But this game is still a gem with many good elements, including a smooth and glitch free experience. Very worth the purchase price of only $2.99.

Paranormal State: Poison Spring

Q*bert goes boom

EXCELLENT! AWESOME! WONDERFUL! Now this is what you call a hidden object game. Great plot, stellar graphics, excellent voice acting, intriguing puzzles, and detailed hidden object scenes. This is a high caliber game! Never heard of Legacy Games before, but the description of the game (combined with a nice price) made me take a chance and download it. GLAD I DID! One of the best hidden object games I've played in a while. Kudos to Legacy Games! Hope to see more games from your company.

Unplayable

The game has crashed several times at the point of trying to use the EMF meter. I have restarted the game as well as my iPad Pro and nothing works. I have requested a refund.

Sets the bar for puzzle adventure gaming!

This is the first time I've purchased a game from the developer, but the description and the tie in with the A&E show were enough for me to give it a go. I was thrilled to discover that it was absolutely fabulous! The voice acting, graphics, soundtrack and overall presentation were top notch. Items are clearly labeled; the hidden object puzzles often involves multiple steps to find or put together the object. If you have trouble finding an item, zooming in is extremely helpful. This is much more than an HOP game, though. Not only are there a number of novel puzzles to solve, but the quest itself is a continuous puzzle as you try to determine where to go and what to do next. The journal is a beautifully written diary that preserves both photos and clues for your reference. The map, task list, and built in strategy guide were perfect. You are completely immersed in this truly eerie adventure, and I never wanted it to stop. For those reviewers disturbed by the ads that intermittently interrupt the game at the beginning -- and those videos really are obnoxious -- the ads vanish as soon as you pay for and unlock the full game. And what is the price for this high-quality adventure? A mere $2.99! Don't hesitate to pay the price upfront, and you'll never have to see an ad. I can't wait for the next installment. I would give this game six stars if I could. Big Fish and its competitors should be worried.

Great game

I wish we had more cases to solve that'd be nice other than the two we are working on
