Parallels Remote Application Server is one of the most cost-effective solutions to securely deliver applications, desktops and data to any device without complexity.
The special keyboard keys do not work at all after updating to either of the 2 most recent versions. The only solution so far is downgrading to the Legacy app.
I have used 2x which is what Parallels bought. It was a great product and always worked. I downloaded the new Parallel’s app and it saw the old client and did an import. 90% of the 20+ servers in my app have no server name. If I have to rebuild everything from scratch, why bother with an import.
I have used Parallels Client for years - a very solid and reliable RDP client. I would like to see a feature like “folders” added to the Connections screen to allow grouping of individual connections.
The app works OK and introduces some nice features but it lacks support for custom gestures that are found in the legacy version of the app. The gestures can really help bridge the gap between mobile and legacy applications by allowing the user to trigger actions and keys using a gesture.
But, intro page asks for a connection but provides ZERO information on what connection to use. Is this my WiFi connection? No help, no way to contact. Sorry, but this is (literally) a non-starter.
I can't copy files (ex. Images )from my iPhone to my parallel desktop cloud
I like the newer feel of this app versus the old 2X app. The only issue I have is in an RDP session on the iPhone 7+ when I bring up the keyboard doesn’t show a question mark key. The key is actually in the shift-numbers but it is represented by a back-slash even though pressing it gives a question mark. Please fix.
Looks very modern. It offers significantly improved usability comparing to the previous version.
This product is so much worse that Parallels 2x legacy. If you have an add on key board to your iPad, don’t even bother downloading this, as an additional keyboard will come on the screen and block half the screen.
Just downloaded to my iPad. Tried importing legacy settings and app crashed. Tried multiple times, rebooted, etc. to no avail. Tried to manually setup a connection and couldn’t get it to work. Verified that I good ping the target and that ports were not being blocked by the firewall on the target PC. App needs better troubleshooting support. Two hours in and I’m done.
