The new app "add address" doesn't work

cbdtorbi

Everytime I try to type my new address I get locked into a blank screen.

Too expensive

nelagnavretep

It works relatively well but there is no way I'm paying $2 per month. I want to use this app once every six months, a subscription makes no sense. $0.50 per item is about the maximum I'd consider, or a one-time fee of $5.

Existing Subscribers Lose Their Money

The new app transfers your account but not your existing subscription. A support agent told me the following: Hi, if you are speaking of a subscription to the OLD Paperkarma app, you cannot restore it as it is associated with a totally different app in the app store (owned and shut down by previous owner) which Apple will not give us access to. You can login with same credentials used in the old app. Then simply start snapping away. You will will be prompted to sign up for a NEW plan on submitting your 5th request. The restore functionality in the new app will work for all NEW plans going forward (e.g. if you switch device, etc.) Update: After reading the developers response I am updating my star rating.

Worth the money

To stop the junk mail this is a fair price.

Doesn't work

6KingKong

I've been getting a lot of junk mail since moving to a new address, and I hoped this would help. But it did not slow down the junk mail at all. It could not manage to unsubscribe the most pesky of the mailers, and all the mailers that it claimed to have unsubscribed are still showing up in my mailbox. Subscription cancelled.

This is the real deal

MyFirstBorn

Some requests took a few tries, but eventually my junk mail volume dried up!

I miss the old app

Ladymcquaid

Maybe I wouldn't mind paying a little bit to say the environment, but this seems a little bit excessive. I'm going to just find another way to do it myself. Deleted. Update: developers, I understand that you were disappointed with a one star review, but the bottom line is this: your app is not even functional without paying money and that should be upfront.

Not as described in practice, unfortunately.

Here's the thing about this app. They send you an email about being successfully unsubscribed. They ask you to allow for time to notify catalogs who may have preprinted material. Generally this allowance is 12 weeks 3 Months. The problem, when you pay, the catalogs still arrive... And arrive and arrive. Over 18 months I had submitted the same catalogs, and yet no relief from subscriptions. One would think catalogs would love to take advantage of this service as it has to cost them *something* to send out what is basically a magazine. One or two catalogs comply, but most don't. My guess is that PaperKarma has little control over this. While it is, in theory, a great idea. In my experience it does not work, and thus does not deserve my money.

Simply too expensive

Simply too expensive. I used to be a user of PaperKarma when it wasn’t this expensive. Won’t use it now.

Worth it! Long-time user

I've been using PaperKarma for years and am so glad it exists for all that unexpected paper junk mail you get. Especially any previous tenants if you just moved into an apartment! Would you rather have to keep recycling tons of mail or just unsubscribe with a photo? It has a simple interface and save tons of time trying to figure out how to opt out of paper spam.
