Where did tab go?

Why put tab and margin settings (short cuts) in main settings rather than in app settings? Who is going to write a document without these?

I was trying to customize fonts, like underlining and bold and Pages makes these simple features so hard to do! It’s like tasks that should be simple make you want to rip your hair out. In the past I’ve had issues with Pages retaining my saved work. Now, trying to give it another chance, I’ve found it’s still just a cheap app. This is not a good tool for writers. As for me I’ll stick with Microsoft Word.

So, the Pencil has been out for a couple of years now — another technological marvel from Apple. Why on earth doesn’t Pages or other Apple apps support it? Lame!

I used to love Pages, but since iOS 11 update, it just doesn’t work on my iPad. I have restated the iPad, deleted and reinstalled Pages, etc. nothing works. It looks as if my documents are there - thumbnails show up for a split second and then disappear. Curiosity, the app works perfectly on my iPhoneX. Please FIX this, Apple. You can do better. Everyone is complaining.

I wrote a couple short stories on my 2017 iPad using the Pages app. I was able to access my documents and edit them off and on for a few days. Then, one day, everything disappeared. Both the Pages app and the iOS 11 file manager say I have zero files and zero data on my icloud. There are no files stored locally on the device either. I recommend avoiding word processing apps created by Apple. At least on iOS.

Update with my response to Apple: There are numerous reviews of your apps (Pages, Keynote, etc.) with users reporting the problem I had of not being able to create a new document. Has it occurred to you that the problem may be on your end and that YOU need to fix the apps? Maybe if you spent a little less time on trying to force your customers to buy new products through planned obsolescence (see battery) and a little more time on keeping your customers pleased, you might just make a little more money than you do. Previous review: I hit the plus sign to create a new document. A little circle spins. And spins. And the app freezes. Typical Apple garbage. This company is now completely incapable of getting anything right. And what’s worse is they don’t seem to care anymore.

A notice keeps popping up saying I need to update the app. In the meantime, Pages won’t let me work on my document. The problem is that I actually do have the latest version of the app. Deeply frustrating. Back to Google Docs it is...

The first problem is, that I wish they would add more fonts. The second problem is, that pages is better on the computer. The third problem is, that there is not a more colors option. The fourth problem is, that it only gives you 16 business cards, when you can just go on vistaprint and get 500 for under $10.

I have been using Pages for over 4 years now. Through the updates, Pages has experienced minor changes. And although being a little slow, I have ignored it because of its fluidity in creating documents and sharing/transferring to word documents. However since the new updates, when I begin to rename/move documents into folders, sometimes it unexpectedly says that the user has now no longer allowed me to open the document. But I am the user and creator and was literally working on it 3 seconds ago. So I usually duplicate it and then I can open the document up again. Also when creating documents with pictures, it is super frustrating to move the pictures around. Somehow it does not respond to my touch and is annoying considering it takes me 5 times to move a picture a fraction of an inch to the right. Please fix this Apple in the new update. I want it fixed!!

No one uses this app because it is so awful. If you have ever used Word, don’t count on this being comparable. The most annoying thing: Can this thing stop zooming in automatically after I zoom out? I also hate the inability to adjust line spacing. There is no add/remove space before/after lines. I can see there is a space added after each line but cannot change it because the only option is “line spacing”. You also cannot adjust templates. The sizing of each section is fixed. This whole experience was frustrating and all I was trying to do was format a résumé.
