It is a good app but you should make rewards yourself and let everyone be able to take points

The developers seem to have abandoned this product. Everytime iOS updates something goes wrong. Now I can't edit a grocery list item after saving--I have to delete it and make a new one. The screen freezes periodically and it's only resolved by force quitting the app. This happens on iPhone 6S and 7 Plus and 8. I also emailed the developers twice, once a year and a half ago and once 6 months ago about clearing past purchases and tasks on the app. They said the only way is to manually delete them by one by one, by going into each info box and scrolling to the delete button. At this point we have thousands of past items. They said they were "working" on a normal clear all feature. Clearly they're not.

This app keeps lets me know when no one has cleaned the toilet in a month, AND it keeps track of how much my kids have earned! I love it!!!!

Promising but flawed

App is quick to pick up and easy to use, but suffers a couple irritating issues. The most glaring is a tendency to freeze, especially after someone has updated the app from another phone or computer. Reboots are quick and fix the issue, but frequent. Secondly, learning to set and filter categories is a little unintuitive, but manageable. I would prefer to be able to have different lists for a single person, with alerts set. A ”home from work” list and a “before school” list for example. Geotagging would be helpful too, or an “out of town” button, as now I have to manually skip every chore if I’m taking a weekend away and can’t load the dishwasher.

We use this app to manage not only chores but also homework, healthy habits, and shopping lists. The rewards feature is a fun way to motivate all of us (kids and adults alike!) to get going with our work. Love it!

Amazing app! Me and my family LOVE this! ? It helps you keep track of you and your family's schedule, shopping lists, and of course tasks. The avatars are absolutely adorable, and the interface is clean and beautiful. I also love the chat feature, which is great for keeping in touch with your family when it comes to chores, the schedule, tasks, or what's for dinner that night. The points system is amazing, and the rewards are cute and fun. And you can see all your family member's activity. Amazing. Thank you to the developers for this awesome app! ?

OurHome is the most amazing app! It’s free (and it’s one of those apps that you’d buy if it’s free or not, but don’t get me wrong, I LOVE that it’s free) and for a free app, it is amazing! One of the best. It helped us so much, more than words can describe. The calendar is such a great part of it because we can put down when tests are, etc. and the grocery list is awesome!!! The rewards are also mighty fine because now everybody wants to earn as many points as possible at the speed of light. For example, one of our family rewards is a mystery trip and everybody is just doing things left and right and checking it off. Another great thing is that, when we add tasks or events, or whatever, we can write them and everybody will see it. The other awesome part about this app is that we each have our own account branched out from our big account. And because of that, we can have it on the different devices but have the same things up. So, we have it on our iPad and phones. And, we all have our OWN tasks and if you click on one of the individual accounts, it comes up all of that person’s tasks. We had so much fun making the accounts because of the cute and silly avatars. We had Homey and when we were about to start it was saying we have to subscribe to join after we put in a password, our email, our last name, and everything under the sun, and the subscription was like $5 a month for an organizational app and a few extra dollars for the whole thing when when you bought it it seemed like it was free for the whole thing, and I have to say, that app was probably not even half as well as this one. Thanks for everything OurHome! We love it! :)

As a family of 9 (7 they do chores) this is an AMAZING APP! Once you get the hang of entering in multiple kids and certain things that are repeats Monday to Friday, etc. it’s easy and you can set them individually so kids can check off as they do them!
