We’ve had the lights for 2 years now. The app isn’t the best. I just downloaded again for this year and it wants to know my location and will not let me proceed. Im really not understanding why they need to know where I am and where i’m going. I know I can turn off the location when not in use but its info they dont need to know. Past years issue was the light show would time out. Just expected more.

Needs more music options. Having the option to add music to the existing list would be great. I know I can play my music by Bluetooth but doing this from my phone means anytime I do anything else on my phone it is also picked up

**Update 2020** Old review still stands. Distance on the hub is horrible. Needs improvement but it looks like they may have discontinued these lights. So I guess they won’t be updating the hub. The new issue is the App. If you disable your location services, the app creates an infinite loop of pop ups about needing to enable location services. I had to reboot my phone to stop it. ***Old Review*** I bought around $1000 worth of these lights. They are really cool when they work. Like so many others have said, the hub has HORRIBLE range on it. I thought when I saw the complaints on the hub range people were just talking about setups in really big yards or something. Nope! I have some devices that got just 15-20 feet away and lost connection. I had to put the hub outside just to connect to the lights. If I left it inside and a couple stands of lights connected. I wish they would improve hub range or allow for multiple hubs that create a mesh network improve coverage. Or even allow the box attached to each strand to act as a repeater. Or offer repeaters. Anything to improve range! I would gladly pay 3x the price for the hub if they made a better one with better range. I paid so much for these lights and now I have to return some because the distance is too much for them.

In 2019 I got the WiFi hub and the projector set with 3 spot lights. It worked fine. I could not say it was glitching but that our home internet. It would not turn off after the off time. It would turn on all the time. In 2020 I got the 8 candy cane pathway markers. I have a set of DIY trees and I put the candy canes in front of the tree line. I say it’s about 30 ft away from the hub. It would listen to every other setting or every other song. This year I will try to put it in front of the tree line again and see what happens. If it does glitch out then I will call Gemmy to see what I can do. I hope if I get a set of icicle lights that I can use them on the roof. Gemmy definitely did a good job with the songs but I would have added all the old songs. Maybe make new designs for the light. The old designs do look cool. But would Luik even cooler is the incredible holiday lightshow trees design or the Gemmy led colorchanging lightshow trio. Orchestra of lights I one of the best wireless lights I’ve seen. I can’t give it a 5 star because of the WiFi hub range and the discontinued light.

I would really like for the Hub to stay connected with the app when customizing a play list. Last year I had to go out in the cold and rest me the speaker with the hub and restart the app. I would also like to see more options in the app for customization. Can you please upgrade this app. Thank you. I will rate again if the app is updated.


Trouble connecting to hub

Just bought a whole bunch of new lights for this and now it will not connect to hub. Y’all say you are working on a solution I hope it gets fixed before xmas or I will be one unhappy customer.

If you bought the Orchestra of Lights return it and get your money back immediately. I’ve had this product for three years and every year it’s the same thing—I only hope for different results. The hub takes forever to connect and when it does all of the sections do not Linnaeus to the hub; leaving one or two sections doing their own thing while the rest of the sections are synced up. This product is too expensive to cause this much aggravation. I am sure there are less expensive options that work great and keep you sane during the holidays.


Upgraded hubs

If you have a hub purchased previously to 2021 the new updates on the app such as locking or unlocking lights so you can change each device color or grouping your lights together isn’t compatible with previous hubs. Our app doesn’t even give us these options because we have hubs purchased previously to (2021). You would have to purchase a new hub (2021) so each time they upgrade new functions for the system you would have to purchase a new hub. No where on the boxes does it explain that to have all functions on your app you would have to purchase a new hub every year. This is heartbreaking knowing how much we have spent and each year we have added more to our collection.


Add more songs.

Love the system 3rd year using I just keep add new lights. Only thing is can you please add more Christmas songs you have done all kinds of updates but no songs have been add can we please get two more before Christmas.
