* FAQ

- How do I put files into OPlayer?
To add files to your OPlayer app, you have to go to iTunes, and select the “Apps” tab. At the bottom of this page, there’s a “File sharing” section – just select OPlayer in the list, and add files from there. Note that you don’t have to sync your iPhone or iPad to iTunes to add movies. Just drop files in the “File sharing” tab, and they’ll be uploaded immediately.

- What kind of streams does OPlayer play?
OPlayer is able to play RTSP/MMS/FTP/SAMBA streams, If you want to use OPlayer to open the streaming from your website, add "oplayer:" prefix in the URL.

- I want to open an attachment from mail app with OPlayer?
If you want to watch an attachment in OPlayer(from Mail for example), just do a long press on the attachment. A menu will pop-up that will let you pick OPlayer as a player.

- iTunes won’t see the files under OPlayer?
You need to enable backup in the settings page to see files in iTunes.

- Why HD MKV movies don’t play smoothly?
Currently, only iPhone4s supports 720p MKV file, that’s to be expected. The other iDevices have limited computing power, and cannot handle the complex task of decoding HD movies in real time.

- The audio and the video is not in sync?
That is because the CPU is not power enough to do video decoding, you can try to enable "Skip Frame" in the file detail page.

- Is there a TV-out support?
Yep, but TV-out function only supported by iPod gen4, iPhone4, iPhone4S and iPad 1/2 and above.

Great

Does everything I want. Multiple formats. Easy loading from a web page. I paid for this and love it.

Spectacular video player
BD35

I spent a week trying almost every video player for the iPhone and iPad, and my conclusion is that OPlayer was tied with one other for the most elegant, powerful, and reliable video player. I've loaded it with 100GB of video, and it works flawlessly. The interface is also creative and really nice. And OPlayer runs nicely on both the iPhone and iPad. I rarely write app reviews (I'm busy), but OPlayer has inspired me to take the time to write one. This is an excellent app. It’s now a couple of years later, and I’d like to reiterate what I wrote earlier. But I’d also like to add that using this app has been an even better experience than I’d described earlier! I’ve changed phones and iPads a couple of times since then, and this app flawlessly synced its content with the new devices when I made the transitions. The other competing app I mentioned above lost all videos each time, despite claiming that it would sync them through iCloud and Mac backup. So this is still the best. I have only one minor suggestion for it: it has a nice feature that plays a randomly chosen video from the same folder next. Unfortunately, it occasionally plays the same one again. An improved algorithm that orders the videos in advance to avoid this (like the one iTunes uses) would easily solve this very minor problem.

Excellent Player!

I tried a bunch, spent too much money until I found OPlayer! I like the interface the way it works and the features. One thing I can’t seem to find though, and I’m probably just missing it, is the option to just stop playing after a video ends. I would like it to just end after videos are done instead of going into the next one. I get that for songs though so I see why it does it.

Needs Full Dark Mode
BenMcMahon

Great app... wish it had full dark mode. The splash screen is blindingly bright! Also when browsing DLNA folders the “loading” placeholder is pretty bright. Otherwise great!

Love this App but Relocate the Select all button
Rocky2019van

I am keep selecting all and deleting all clips by accident. Because the select all button right next to the delete button. Please put it on the other side it at the top! I also wish if there is a audio pitch shift option, then it will be the ultimate app! Good luck!

Great Player
kbob man

OPlayer added a fix to the one thing that I had been wishing it had, and that was the ability to add dark background to subtitles. Now that they added this very helpful feature, I really everything I want it to be. The best!
