New version is so much slower. What a drag the new app is. Wish I never updated it.

We’re really enjoying using the program ,however it will be great if we could customize Text msg As well , be able to drag and drop reservations to move them around.

System

plava laguna

The new system is nice, but everything is gray and too small. The number of guests for each party should be bigger, bolder and red! The system on the ipad is different than the system in the office computer which is very confusing for the staff. Also, the daily notes used to pop up immediately. Now, we have to search for the notes. I think the designers of the system should go back to the drawing board and help he restaurants have a better, clearer system since it’s already very expensive

A few more changes need to be made........

Casa D'Angelo

1. Would like to see reservations listed LAST NAME FIRST. It would make it much quicker and easier to find and check in guests, especially when there is a long line of people waiting to check in. It slows us down to have to scan through many first names to get to the last name. And many guests have the same first names, so we have to look for last names anyway. 2. Very happy to have the drag and drop option for moving already seated guests to another table.....only one problem though...you can only move them to tables on the same floor plan. If the guest wants to move to the back room (which we have to switch floor plans to get to) there is no way to drag them there. So its only useful if they are moving to another table on the current floor plan you are on. Please change this so that we can utilize this option to its fullest and drag tables to all floor plans. 3. Would like to see a "LOCK" icon that can be placed next to the table number in the box that contains the assigned table number. This "LOCK" icon would lock in the assigned table numbers of our choice to inform staff that a reservation with a lock icon should not have their table number changed. Many of our guests request a certain table or server and that icon would clearly state they should not be moved. Some guests are regulars or VIP's and have to go to certain tables otherwise they get very upset. Other reservations can be moved around during the course of the night if needed and their table numbers do not need to be locked. At this time there is no distinguishing between which hard assigned table numbers need to be kept on a certain table and which ones can be moved. Also, the Lock icon should keep the computer generated movements from happening. Sometimes a guest will change the amount of people or time of reservation online and the computer will bump them off the hard assigned table to somewhere else. If the guest requested a certain table, even if they change the party size or time, they still expect to have that table. A lock button would fix this problem. 4. On reservations listed "By Arrived Time" please have checked in guests listed not only in order of arrival but also in order of reservation time segment. If a 9pm reservation arrives early at 8:30pm, then an 8:30pm reservation arrives at 8:05pm Opentable will list the 9pm above the 8:30pm. Even though the 9pm arrived before the 8:30pm we still will have to seat the 8:30pm guest first. It would be helpful if all of the checked in guests were grouped together (without any non-checked in reservations in between them) and in order of reservation time segment. For example that 8:30pm guest should be listed on top of the 9pm guest even though the 9pm guest came in first. That 9pm guest will then be the first in line after all of the 8:30pm checked in guests. This will help us save time by not having to sort through reservations to figure out which guest is REALLY next in line to be seated. This is very important on a busy night! 5. When guests book an outside table but later change it online to an inside table, that change does not show up on the reservation. Many times we go to seat a guest on the patio and they say that they changed it to inside. Please make the "Patio Booked" notation dissapear if the guest changes it to inside so that we can plan our reservations correctly.

Update is a Downgrade

busyrestaurant101

Our restaurant switched over to Guest Center last summer and we have had continuous problems with the system. It seems great with all of the “improvements” it tries to make, however we have encountered countless glitches (most of which just so happen to occur in the middle of our very busy dinner rushes!). As a hostess (being the one that uses the system most frequently) I would consider this update a down grade. The system requires multiple refreshes just to get it back to how the screen should look. It hides reservations from initial view, “deletes guest history”-as in it won’t show a guest’s history and then when I add the guest back in, it will sync with it’s old information, so the information was in there all along. The reservation list glitches and makes it so that you cannot drag the reservations, you have to search it in the bar and then drag it. Overall, with all the issues we have been having, it makes it very difficult to use this system on busy nights, which is just about every night. Please fix these issues soon!!

This Version Needs a Floorplan

Anna1222323

Overall, this app is nice and useful to have on my phone. I am a hostess at a hibachi style restaurant and I would love to see the floor plan integrated into the phone version of this app so I could assign tables to the servers before getting to the restaurant and so that the hostesses could take their phones into the dining area to do updates while the other hostess is using the iPad up front.

Lunch

BrandonRobertCampbell

It won’t let you look at a shift other than the current one for more than ten seconds. It’s infuriating when trying to go through a plan the flow of a dinner shift during the day when you get three reservations down and it switches back to lunch. Please fix.

Good but plz make for Android

Lisasaha

It would be much more helpful if the app was made for android phones and tablets with ability to block and release tables especially
